The present invention provides a head sleeve device that comprises a body member made of Lycra Spandex fabric. The body member includes an interior passage that can be accessed through an opening positioned on the body member. The body member includes a flexible material attached near the opening; an inner layer having two opposite inner-layer free ends attached together; a tubular member that includes a malleable wire, an outer layer that includes two opposite outer-layer free ends forming the opening, a holder attached to the outer layer; and one or more D-rings attached to the outer layer.

Cutting elements, earth-boring tools including the cutting elements, and methods of forming the cutting elements

An earth-boring tool includes a body, blades extending longitudinally and generally radially from the body, and cutting elements located on each blade. The earth-boring tool may also include a first group of at least two adjacent blades comprising the cutting elements proximate a front cutting edge of the blades and one or more shaped inserts located rotationally following the cutting elements, and a second group of one or more additional blades comprising the cutting elements proximate the front cutting edge of the blades while being entirely free of the one or more shaped inserts. Methods include drilling a subterranean formation including engaging a formation with the cutting elements and the shaped inserts of the earth-boring tool, the shaped inserts secured at selected locations on two or more adjacent blades of the first group of blades while the second group of blades is entirely free of the shaped inserts.

Earth-boring tools utilizing selective placement of shaped inserts, and related methods

A self-adjusting earth-boring tool includes a body carrying cutting elements and an actuation device disposed at least partially within the body. The actuation device may include a first fluid chamber, a second fluid chamber, a first reciprocating member, and a second reciprocating member. The first and second reciprocating members may divide portions of the first fluid chamber from portions of the second fluid chamber. A connection member may be attached to both of the first and second reciprocating members and may have a drilling element removably coupled thereto. A first fluid flow path may extend from the second fluid chamber to the first fluid chamber. A second fluid flow path may extend from the first fluid chamber to the second fluid chamber.

Self-adjusting earth-boring tools and related systems and methods

A reaming bit designed to operate with low torque fluctuation when driven with a turbine at speeds in the order of 300-600 RPM and above features a profile that is arcuate from the gauge dimension to the nose area or alternatively has a blunt straight taper section but with a ratio of profile length (PL) to bit size (BS) of under 0.75. The blades extend into a concave cone and the cutting structure continues along the blades towards the center. The blades have a step near the gauge section to increase the exposure of the blade cutting structure. An array of protrusions are disposed parallel to and behind the cutting structure to increase high speed stability and adjacent the blade step transition to protect outer casing on run in.
