A method for securing a sleeve in a bore hole in bone. The method includes disposing at least a portion of a length of filament into the bore hole, and implanting the sleeve into the bore hole such that a first pathway extending through first and second ends of the sleeve opens in a direction toward the opening of the bore hole and in a direction toward the base of the bore hole. The method also includes pulling at least a portion of the length of filament through the first pathway of the sleeve, thereby forming a first loop configuration extending from the first end and at least one free end of the length of filament extending from the second end. Also included is passing the at least one free end through the first loop configuration to create a one-way cinch.

Suture anchor and associated methods of use

A ratcheting inserter device for tensioning a knotless suture anchor includes an outer inserter shaft and an inner inserter shaft having a common longitudinal axis. A ratcheting mechanism provided between the inner inserter shaft and the outer inserter shaft permits rotation of the inner inserter shaft in one direction relative to the outer inserter shaft. The outer inserter shaft has a protrusion at a distal end that is received by an anchor outer sleeve of a suture anchor to prevent relative rotation thereof, and the inner inserter shaft has a projection at the distal end that is received by an inner core of the anchor for rotational movement therewith. The ratcheting inserter device rotates the inner core of the suture anchor to spool and tension suture thread. Thereafter, the ratcheting mechanism is disengaged and the inner inserter shaft is forced axially into the anchor outer sleeve.

A non-invasive device for anchoring a suture includes a sheet to which a suture can be attached and an adhesive that can affix the sheet to bone. The method provides placing effective amount of an adhesive on a bone and attaching the suture to the adhesive and allowing the adhesive to set.

Non-invasive suture anchor and method

One embodiment of the implant comprises a porous metal bone ingrowth portion () having a first side connected to a high density or solid (fully dense) metal portion () which in turn has an opposite side connected to a porous metal soft tissue ingrowth portion () thus forming a sandwich structure with the high density or fully dense portion in the middle. The implant may be made of a resorbable material such as an alloy of magnesium. Alternately, the alloy can be selected from the group consisting of calcium, iron, yttrium and lithium. The porous metal soft tissue ingrowth portion () has porosity characteristics allowing cartilage to interdigitate with the pores and extend outwardly beyond the platform of the metal surface towards a joint capsule. The solid or fully dense intermediate layermay have some porosity, however that porosity prevents either bone tissue or cartilage tissue from migrating therethrough.

In one embodiment, the present invention may include a system for securing soft tissue relative to a bone including a tissue anchor having a substantially planar body having a channel and at least one bore hole; an inserter rod having a longitudinal length and adapted to be positioned within the channel of the tissue anchor; and an engagement structure on at least one of the channel or the inserter rod adapted to removeably affix the tissue anchor to the inserter rod.

A practice golf club has a collapsible adjustable shaft. The golf club includes a club head, a handle, and a shaft. The shaft has a number of telescopic sections that permit the shaft to be adjustable between a fully extended position and a fully collapsed position. The club head is attached to the lowermost shaft section and the handle is attached to the uppermost shaft section. A locking nut and a compression ring permit adjacent sections of the telescopic section to be releasably locked in a fixed position relative to each other at any location between a fully extended position and a fully collapsed position.
