A personal stair lift to transport an individual up and down a stairway on a chair assembly supported on a rail mounted rack comprising a carriage assembly configured to support a lift mechanism including a drive member coupled to a reversible drive motor to rotate the drive member wherein the carriage assembly includes at least one pair of upper rollers and at least one pair of lower rollers movably mounted on a stationary rail disposed on each side of the carriage assembly and a rack mounted to one of the stationary rails disposed to engage the drive member to selectively move the chair assembly and person up or down the stairway when the reversible motor rotates the drive member.

A personal mobility vehicle lift mounted to the rear portion of a vehicle to transport a personal mobility vehicle from location to location comprising a platform assembly configured to support a personal mobility vehicle thereon operatively coupled to a lift assembly to selectively raise and lower the platform assembly with or without a personal mobility vehicle thereon and a mount assembly coupled to the lift assembly to mount the personal mobility vehicle lift to the rear portion of a vehicle.

Personal mobility vehicle lift

A central drive personal mobility vehicle is disclosed comprising a frame having a right and a left frame mounting located in a trailing frame portion of the frame with a seat being mounted to an intermediate portion of the frame. A right and a left leaf spring extend between a proximal end and a distal end. The proximal ends of the right and left leaf springs are secured to a right and a left drive wheel assembly supporting a left and a right drive wheel. The distal ends of the right and left leaf springs are secured to the right and left frame mounting for resiliently mounting the right and left drive wheel assemblies to the frame.

An improved battery plate and method of making for an electric storage battery. The battery plate comprises a plurality of metallic fibers of a single or plural diameters randomly oriented and sintered to provide a conductive battery plate with a multiplicity of pores defined therein. The metallic fibers are formed by cladding and drawing a plurality of metallic wires to provide a fiber tow. The fiber tow is severed and the cladding is removed to form metallic fibers. The metallic fibers are arranged into a web and sintered to form the battery plate.
