An annular water removal system (AWRS) for an air cycle environmental control system (ECS) includes a line replaceable unit (LRU) configured to output air flow, and a water collector coupled to the LRU. The water collector includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion includes a coalescing unit having a collector inlet to receive the air flow and configured to coalesce moisture from the air flow output from the LRU. The lower portion includes a collection unit in fluid communication with the coalescing unit. The collection unit is configured to collect the moisture coalesced by the coalescing unit.

An electronic module assembly includes a circuit card assembly (CCA) including heat generating electronic components. A connector is electrically connected to the heat generating electronic components. The connector is positioned at a connection end of the CCA. A heatsink is mounted to the CCA and is connected in thermal communication with the electronic components. A wedge feature is defined along a lateral edge of the heatsink relative to the connector.

Heat transfer interfaces for circuit card assembly (CCA) modules

An electronic module assembly includes a circuit card assembly (CCA) with heat generating electronic components. A connector is electrically connected to the heat generating electronic components, wherein the connector is positioned at a connection end of the CCA. A heatsink is mounted to the CCA, connected in thermal communication with the electronic components. An undulating channel feature is defined along a lateral edge of the heatsink relative to the connector. One or more channels of the undulating channel feature are aligned with an insertion axis defined by the connector.

An assembly includes a circuit card assembly (CCA) module including a CCA with heat generating electronic components and a connector electrically connected to the heat generating electronic components. A chassis including an electrical interface is included. The connector of the CCA module is electrically connected to the electrical interface. The chassis includes a removable cover. A heat transfer element is included between the cover of the chassis and an edge of the CCA module for heat sinking heat from the heat generating electronic components through the heat transfer element to the cover of the chassis.

Circuit card assembly (CCA) module thermal interface devices

A heat exchanger includes a header and an annular core fluidly connected to the header. The annular core includes an inner diameter, an outer diameter, first flow channels arranged in a first set of layers, and second flow channels arranged in a second set of layers and interleaved with the first flow channels. Each of the first flow channels includes a first inlet, a first outlet, and a first axial region extending between the first inlet and the first outlet. Each of the second flow channels includes a second inlet, a second outlet, and a second axial region extending between the second inlet and the second outlet.

Annular heat exchanger

An outlet header of a heat exchanger is provided. The outlet header defines a flow-tap-off duct and includes an L-tube. The L-tube defines first and second legs. The first leg is fasteningly installed in the flow-tap-off duct such that the second leg is directed toward a cold-cold corner of the heat exchanger. The second leg is configured to capture cool air from the cold-cold corner for providing the cool air to and through the flow-tap-off duct and exterior the heat exchanger.

A core arrangement for a heat exchanger includes a first core layer. The first core layer includes first upstream and downstream ends, first and second parting sheets parallel to one another, and a plurality of adjacent fins disposed between the first and second parting sheets. Each of the plurality of fins extends from a surface of the first parting sheet to a surface of the second parting sheet, and longitudinally between the first upstream end and the first downstream end. The plurality of fins are further laterally arranged to define a plurality of first fluid passages. Each of a subset of the plurality of fins includes an internal slot positioned away from the first upstream end and the first downstream end.

A heat exchanger core includes a first sheet having a first side and a second side opposite to the first side, a second sheet opposing the first side of the first sheet, and a first fin extending between the first side of the first sheet and the second sheet. The first fin defines first channels that extend in a first direction, the first fin including a first slot that extends at a first angle between thirty degrees and sixty degrees from the first direction and fluidly connects at least two of the first channels together.

The first partial sheet is smaller in width and/or height than the first face of the first standard sheet.

A heat exchanger tube assembly includes a tube. The tube includes a first end, a second end disposed opposite from the first end, an outer surface, and an inner surface defining an interior space. A plurality of channels are formed within the interior space. A first sleeve is fixed to the outer surface of the tube near the first end and a second sleeve fixed to the outer surface of the tube near the second end.

A heat exchanger for an aircraft includes a hot fluid inlet, a hot fluid outlet, a cold fluid inlet, a cold fluid outlet, and a header connected to the hot fluid outlet. The header includes a housing defining a header volume and a baffle separating the header volume into a first volume and a second volume, wherein the first volume and the second volume are in fluid communication with each other.

A heat exchange system includes a cold fluid circuit and a hot fluid circuit. The cold fluid circuit routes a cold fluid to a ram air inlet. From the ram air inlet, the cold fluid is routed to a cold fluid inlet of a heat exchanger. The cold fluid is then routed to a cold fluid outlet of the heat exchanger. The hot fluid circuit is configured to route a hot fluid. The hot fluid is routed through a bleed air valve. From the bleed air valve, the hot fluid is routed to a hot fluid inlet of the heat exchanger. The hot fluid is then routed to a hot fluid outlet of the heat exchanger. The hot fluid is then routed to a header having a first cavity and a second cavity defined within a housing and separated by a baffle.
