Point-of-sale display apparatus for a plurality of flag designs comprises a generally flat back panel having a bottom edge portion and an upper edge portion. A flag retaining means is fastened to the back panel and defines a plurality of loops sized to accommodate a rolled flag in each of the loops. The loops are preferably comprised of elastic material. The upper edge portion may be generally triangular shaped with the apex of the triangle defining a point from which the display apparatus can be hung. The display apparatus also includes a clear, plastic enclosure shaped to accommodate the display apparatus within the enclosure. The display apparatus is used to display for sale a plurality of flag unfurlers and a variety of flag designs, and doubles as a convenient and effective storage container. A quick release final attachable to the top of the flag pole is also provided whereby the removal of one flag and flag unfurler combination from over the top of the flag pole and the mounting of a second flag and flag unfurler combination over the top of the flag pole is facilitated.

Flag unfurler arrangement

A tissue dispenser comprising a hollow container forms an inner chamber for housing a roll of tissue. The container comprises two separable housing components which when separated enable the insertion of rolled tissue into the chamber and when fitted together enclose and support the rolled tissue in the chamber. Each of the housing components are substantially identical. When fitted together, the housing components define the container walls and sides to surround the rolled tissue, an aperture through which the free end of the tissue is passed during dispensing and a spindle on which the rolled tissue is supported for dispensing. The tissue dispenser includes releasable mating means to releasably mate one housing component to the other to form the dispenser assembly.

An automatic flag unfurling apparatus for use on a flag pole contains a ribbed, lightweight, hollow tube containing strategically located notches in a longitudinal rib extruded integral with the parent plastic tube. Plastic cable ties, inserted into the flags eyelets, engage the notches and retain the flag in its preferable free-flying position. A lower friction reducing washer and retaining collar are firmly positioned on a stationary flag pole to prevent the tube/flag combination from sliding down the pole. The tube/flag combination is free to swivel due to wind forces acting on the tube/flag combination, and regardless of wind direction, freely swivels allowing the flag to remain in an unfurled state.

Automatic flag unfurler

A patient receiving region (12) is defined within a stationary CT scanner frame (A). An x-ray tube (B) is mounted on a rotating frame portion (40) for rotation about the patient receiving region on an annular bearing (44, 46, 48). A fluidic slip ring (60) is mounted between the rotating and stationary frames adjacent the bearing for conveying cooling fluid between the x-ray tube and a stationarily mounted, preferably off-site, chiller (D). The fluidic slip ring enables large amounts of heat to be removed from the x-ray tube to maintain the x-ray tube at proper operating temperatures without overheating the interior of the CT scanner, the CT scanner room, or the like.

Apparatus is disclosed for providing electrical energy to orbital components of a computed tomography (CT) scanning unit. The apparatus includes a number of high voltage slip rings immersed in an insulating dielectric material. Each slip ring contacts a stationary brush biased to contact the slip ring to insure maintenance of a low resistance path between a stationary source of high potential and a cathode and anode pair of an orbital X-ray tube. A number of low voltage slip rings are further included to facilitate transmission of low voltages to other orbital components of the CT unit. The apparatus is of a compact light-weight design and is mounted to tilt certain components about an axis which intersects a patient's torso to provide CT scanning flexibility.

Computed tomography method and apparatus

An oil filled high voltage connector assembly, such as the type used to connect high voltage X-ray apparatus cables, which includes an internally located oil expansion chamber. A female connector defines a cylindrical container closed at one end and has an outward extending flange. An annulus having a hollowed out cavity on one surface is covered with an elastomeric material in contact with the flange. A liquid dielectric between the female connector and a male connector presses against the elastomeric material and can push the elastomeric material into the cavity when it expands.

An x-ray tube voltage generator with automatic stabilization circuitry is disclosed. The generator includes a source of pulsating direct current voltage such as from a rectified 3 phase transformer. This pulsating voltage is supplied to the cathode and anode of an x-ray tube and forms an accelerating potential for electrons within that tube. The accelerating potential is stabilized with a feedback signal which is provided by a feedback network. The network includes an error signal generator which compares an instantaneous accelerating potential with a preferred reference accelerating potential and generates an error function. This error function is transmitted to a control tube grid which in turn causes the voltage difference between x-ray tube cathode and anode to stabilize and thereby reduce the error function. In this way stabilized accelerating potentials are realized and uniform x-ray energy distributions produced.

An automated tire inspection system employs penetrative emanation such as X-radiation to inspect the integrity of portions of tires fed sequentially along a feed path through a centering station and into a shielded enclosure which where an inspection station is defined. Features of the system include a continuously operating X-ray source movable between inspection and retracted positions, and an X-ray shield for covering the source when it is retracted to permit the doors of the shielded enclosure to be opened without danger from escaping radiation.
