A method including the steps of providing a frame member configured to be disposed over a device wall box, the frame member including at least one frame opening being configured to substantially define a modular space; and providing at least one modular electrical wiring device configured to substantially conform to the modular space in accordance with at least one of a plurality of modular configurations, the at least one modular electrical wiring device being configured to include a plurality of attachment structures configured to mate with the frame member, the at least one modular electrical wiring device being configured to be disposed within the at least one frame opening in an orientation selected from a plurality of orientations including at least one first orientation and at least one second orientation, the at least one first orientation being substantially orthogonal to the at least one second orientation.

Method of manufacturing a modular electrical wiring device system

The present invention is directed to an electrical wiring system having a frame assembly that includes a frame opening at a central portion thereof. The frame opening provides access to the interior of the device wall box. At least one electrical wiring device is configured to snap into the frame opening such that the interior of the device wall box is completely enclosed by the frame assembly and the at least one electrical wiring device such that access to wiring disposed within the device wall box is substantially prevented. The at least one electrical wiring device includes at least one user-interface. An aesthetic overlay may be coupled to the frame assembly. The aesthetic overlay includes an overlay opening configured to accommodate the at least one user-interface such that the at least one user-interface is accessible to a user.

The invention relates to a possibly reversible mechanical assembly, comprising a first component (), a second link itself comprising a stud () linked to the first component () and formed of a stock () terminated by a radial bulge (), and holding means () linked to the second component () and comprising a housing () dimensioned to receive the stud () and at least one elastic lock () designed to elastically hold the radial bulge of the stud in the housing (). According to the invention, the housing () is formed by drilling of the second component () along its thickness, and each elastic lock () is essentially formed by an elastically flexible lug () formed in the thickness of the second component () and exhibiting a degree of radial play of non-zero amplitude.

A mural electrical apparatus has a metal mounting bracket, a sub-plate, a plate fixed to the sub-plate by a local link, this plate bearing or constituting a conductive portion. This apparatus further has an elastic conductive member provided at least with an orifice, a flexible arm, and a flexible arm, this member being secured to the sub-plate by the local link, crossing the orifice, and the flexible arms protruding in opposite directions to elastically respectively press against the conductive portion and against the bracket, the conductive portion thus, being brought to the same electric potential as the bracket.
