A method of distributing traffic across a set of links interconnecting a local autonomous system with autonomous systems neighboring the local autonomous system is disclosed. The method comprises /a/ receiving information relating to characteristics of the neighboring autonomous systems; /b/ determining a result of a reward function, representative of a state of the set of links; /c/ triggering, based on the information received and the result of the reward function, at least one action influencing a distribution of traffic across the set of links so as to optimize the load state of the set of links; /d/ reiterating steps /a/ to /c/; the at least one action being identified by an artificial intelligence configured to learn to identify, on the basis of successive results of the reward function, actions enabling traffic to be distributed across the set of links to optimize the load state of the set of links.

Method for optimizing traffic between autonomous systems

A method for detection of an anomaly in paths for routing data to an address prefix in a network composed of autonomous systems, where the paths are announced to a local autonomous system by neighboring autonomous systems. The method includes: a) receiving information representative of at least one part of the paths during a time interval; b) generating a matrix comprising elements representative of path segments respectively connecting pairs of autonomous systems located on the paths; c) repeating a) and b) to obtain a sequence of matrices according to b); d) analyzing a similarity between the matrices; and e) in a case where at least one of the matrices differs from other matrices, detecting a routing anomaly.

Method for detecting routing anomalies between autonomous systems

In a packet communication network comprising a plurality of nodes connected by respective links according to a routing topology, ordered metrics are respectively associated with links each connecting two nodes together directly. On detection of a modification of the routing topology, at the level of a first node connected by a link to at least one second node, a timer value associated with the second node is determined. Next, the timer is set. Finally, on expiring of this timer, a topology update message is emitted destined for the second node. The timer value is provided by an increasing function taking as parameter the metric associated with said link connecting the first node to the second node, so that the larger the metric, the larger the timer value.
