A ratcheting wrench includes a handle and a working end. A body is combined to the working end of the handle for rotation with respect to the working end around a first axis. A pawl couples the working end of the handle to the body for one-way rotation of the body around the first axis. A removable insert is coupled to the body for rotation with respect to the body around a second axis that is perpendicular to the first axis. A catch assembly selectively couples the insert to the body, so that the insert can be removed.

Rotary ratcheting wrench

A hand tool is disclosed. The hand tool has a gripping portion and a distal end with an attachment end disposed thereon. A ratcheting mechanism is combined with the attachment end to provide ratcheting action. A rotatable head is combined with the attachment end and engaged with the ratcheting mechanism. The rotatable head comprises a plurality of sockets and in some embodiments the rotatable head has four sockets of different size spaced thereon.

Rotary ratchet wrench

In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, a case for holding a hand tool at a point of sale is provided. The hand tool has a working end and a handle. The handle projects from the case to form a handle for the case and the case engages the hand tool such that the hand tool is prevented from being removed from the case while simultaneously, the handle can be rotated with respect to the case to test a function of the hand tool. Before the case and the hand tool is purchased the hand tool is prevented from being removed from the case; however, the handle can be rotated with respect to the case when the case is in a closed position. After the hand tool is purchased the customer can break a seal and the case may be opened, thereby allowing the tool to be removed from the case when the case is in an open position.
