An elution tool for a radiopharmaceutical elution system includes an elution tool. The tool has a vial chamber sized and shaped for receiving an elution vial. An access opening is aligned with a septum of the elution vial when the elution vial is received in the vial chamber. An elution tool lid is secured to the elution tool body by a hinged connection. The elution tool lid is rotatable at the hinged connection and movable relative to the elution tool body between an occluded position and an exposed position. The tool also includes a latching mechanism for selectively and releasably locking the lid in the occluded position.

Radioisotope elution system

A holder for a vial containing a sterile liquid for use with a radiopharmaceutical elution system includes a holder body. The body has a top, an opposing bottom, an opening in the top and a vial chamber. The vial chamber extends from the opening in the top toward the bottom and is sized and shaped for receiving the vial therein. An access opening extends through the bottom to the vial chamber and is aligned with a septum of the elution vial when the sterile vial is received in the vial chamber. A cap is removably secured to the top of the holder body for selectively opening and closing the vial chamber. The holder body includes plastic and has a density less than the density of the cap.

Holder and tool for radioisotope elution system

A gross filter in a drainage device for filtering fluids drained from the pleural cavity of a patient comprising a filter body having a first side panel, second side panel, back panel and bottom panel that assemble to form a generally box-shape filter with open front and top portions. The gross filter is located in the first of two subchambers that comprise the collection chamber. The filter body further comprises a filter screen sized for filtering gross particulates, such as blood clots, that may become entrained in fluid drained from a patient. The gross body is configured so as to permit the further filtering of fluids when blood clots have formed and blocked the filter screen of the filter's bottom panel from fluid flow therethrough, thereby allowing uninterrupted filtering of blood into the collection chamber through the first and second side panels instead. To further facilitate the filtering of blood through the filter body when a blocked state exists at the bottom panel portion thereof, the first and second side panels are angled toward each other at their bottom ends and gradually spaced apart from the collection chamber walls in order to permit unimpeded filtering of fluid through the side panels. The open front portion of the gross filter permits clear viewing by medical personnel of the amount of blood clots being retained inside the filter body so that measuring indicia may be provided on the drainage unit's front panel as an indication of the amount and rate of blood clot retention inside the filter. An overflow filter portion is also provided at the top portion of one of the side panels for filtering fluid when the rest of the filter body is clogged and blocked by blood clots or when the first subchamber is filled to capacity.

Gross filter for a drainage device

A stove-mounted grease splatter guard made of a flexible plastic or glass protection portion which attaches to a range via a base portion. The protection portion extends outwardly from the range at an obtuse angle and prevents children from reaching a top surface of the stove. The protection portion also aids in preventing splattering grease from striking the children or reaching the floor on which the stove rests. The base portion is connected to the range with a magnet and hook-and-loop fastener combination.

Grease splatter guard

A syringe assembly including a plunger rod and a plunger tip which are designed to provide a low frictional resistance against the interior surface of the syringe barrel while the plunger rod is at rest but which will increase the sealing pressure between the plunger tip and the interior surface of the syringe barrel in proportion to the amount of force applied to the plunger rod. Additionally, the plunger rod may be moved in the syringe barrel in a laterally offset manner with respect to the longitudinal axis of the syringe barrel without significantly affecting the seal between the plunger tip and the syringe barrel.
