A fitting includes a first mounting portion connectable with a first member and having opposing planar surfaces and inner and outer ends. A second mounting portion is angled with respect to the first mounting portion, is connectable with a second member and has opposing planar surfaces, an outer end and an inner end integrally formed with the first mounting portion inner end. A boss projects outwardly from the second mounting portion first surface and is disposable within a recess of the second member or a stiffener coupled with the second member. The boss has an inner end adjacent to the second mounting portion inner end, an outer end spaced from the inner end, a centerline between the boss inner and outer ends, and an outermost surface spaced from the second mounting portion first surface by a spacing distance having a value greater than zero at all points along the centerline.

a method for manufacturing a part made of composite material includes the steps of placing, in a mold, a fibrous preform including reinforcing fibers and being resin-impregnated, positioning a prefabricated element in the mold in contact with the fibrous preform at a predefined location of the fibrous preform, the prefabricated element having a predefined form and being produced in composite material comprising partially polymerized resin, compressing the assembly formed by the fibrous preform and the prefabricated element in the mold, heating the assembly formed by the fibrous preform and the prefabricated element in the mold to polymerize the resin and thus binding the prefabricated element with the fibrous preform in order to form the part made of composite material.

Method for manufacturing a part made of composite material

A connector for connecting two members having a body of composite material consisting of reinforcing fibers embedded in a plastic matrix of resin, for connecting the two members to one another, and having a housing, a mounting ring installed in the housing, a swivel installed in the mounting ring and capable of allowing, by swivelling in the mounting ring, articulation between the two members to be connected, the swivel acting as a fastening area for one of the two members. The reinforcing fibers form, with the resin, plies which, when stacked, form a laminate, and the mounting ring is fastened in the housing of the body of the connector to prevent any movement of the mounting ring relative to the body of the connector.

Connecting assembly providing a connecting piece made of composite material having a base and a main wall, the base having holes to accept second fixing elements, at least two bearers each pierced with a through orifice and each intended to be associated with one of the second fixing elements. The bearers being positioned one on each side of the main wall. The main wall and the base being connected by extensions of curved shape one on each side of the main wall. The extensions each defining a bearer receiving zone. The holes for accepting second fixing elements being formed in part through the curved extensions.

Connecting assembly comprising a connecting piece and at least two bearers

The connector assembly includes a fitting with a first mounting portion having two opposing surfaces and mounting hole(s) extending between the two surfaces for connecting with a first member. A second mounting portion extends angled with respect to the first mounting portion and has two opposing surfaces and mounting hole(s) extending between the two for connecting with a second member. A joint portion integrally connects the first and second mounting portions. One or more washers each have opposing upper and lower surfaces and at least one hole extending between the two surfaces, each receiving a fastener for attaching the second mounting portion to the second member. The washer lower surface is disposed on the second mounting portion inner surface such that the washer opening is centered about the at least one mounting hole axis. Each washer is joined to the second mounting portion to form an integral assembly.

Connector assembly fitting with co-molded washers

A connector assembly includes a fitting having first and second mounting portions having integrally connected inner ends and opposing outer ends. The first mounting portion is connectable to the first member and the second mounting portion is inclined with respect to the first portion and connectable to the second member. The first mounting portion has inner and outer surfaces, one or more mounting holes extending between the surfaces and a load surface section extending about each mounting hole. The first mounting portion also has a recessed section located between each mounting hole and the second mounting portion and adjacent to the washer load surface section. A washer is disposeable upon the first portion load surface section and sized such that an outer portion of the washer extends over the recessed section so that a clearance gap is defined between a washer inner surface and the first mounting portion.

Connector assembly fitting with anti-puncturing feature

A connector assembly includes a generally L-shaped fitting with a first mounting portion having a mounting hole(s), a second mounting portion extending generally angled to the first mounting portion and having a mounting hole(s) and a joint portion integrally connecting the two mounting portions. The joint portion has a load section(s) defined between a concave surface section extending between inner surfaces of the first and second mounting portions and a convex surface section extending between outer surfaces of the first and second mounting portions, the load section concave surface section having a radius of curvature. A washer has an outer perimeter surface with a section having a partially spherical profile and is sized such that the spherical surface section is disposed against the joint load section concave surface so that the washer exerts force generally against the joint load section when the washer is clamped to the second mounting portion.
