Mouth guards and related systems and methods for determining linear and angular accelerations of the head of a subject. A plurality of accelerometers are operatively associated with the mouth guard and spaced from one another about the mouth guard. The accelerometers produce outputs indicative of the linear and angular acceleration of the mouth guard. Optionally, the mouth guard can be used in conjunction with a helmet that is provided with a plurality of accelerometers spaced about the helmet. In use, the outputs of the accelerometers of the helmet can be correlated to the outputs of the accelerometers of the mouth guard.

Devices, systems, and methods for determining linear and angular accelerations of the head

Accessorized footwear for preventing a pant leg from entering a shoe includes a shoe. A sheath is positioned in a heelcap of the shoe. The sheath extends from proximate to a heel to proximate to a topline of the shoe so that the sheath substantially bisects the heelcap. A shaft is selectively extensible from the sheath and is configured to extend proximate to an Achilles tendon of a foot that is positioned in the shoe. The shaft is positioned to deflect a bottom of a pant leg from entering a gap between the heelcap and the foot.

Tap guide assembly devices, systems, and methods are disclosed herein. A tap guide assembly can have a body assembly, a tension pin assembly, a tension spring, and a setscrew. The body assembly can have an elongate body and a drill bushing. The drill bushing can have a diameter that is less than the diameter of the elongate body and can be positioned within a portion of the elongate body. The tension pin assembly can have a pin and a collar and can be configured to be received within the body assembly. The tension spring can be positioned proximate to the collar. The setscrew can be securely positioned proximate to the tension spring and within the second opening of the elongate body.

Tap guide device and systems and methods for using same

Bending instruments for selectively applying a bending force to a rod or rod-like element, such as for example and without limitation, a surgical rod. Exemplary bending instruments include a first handle, a second handle, and a gear assembly. Pivotal movement of the second handle relative to the first handle effects a corresponding movement of the gear assembly components to thereby effect bending of the rod or rod-like element.

Bending instrument and methods of using same

A bending instrument is disclosed having first and second lever assemblies. The first lever assembly has a first lever and a first bending member, and the second lever assembly has a second lever that is configured for pivotal motion relative to the first lever. The bending instrument also has a gear assembly that is rotatively coupled to a distal portion of the first lever and which defines a lobe on which a second bending member is mounted. The second bending member of the gear assembly is configured to be angularly rotated upon the pivotal rotation of the second lever relative to the first lever.
