The present invention relates to a series of 'reconstituted meadowfoam oils'. The term reconstituted as used hereon refers to a process in which meadowfoam oil and one or more oils of natural origin are transesterified under conditions of high temperature and catalyst to make a 'reconstituted product' having an altered alkyl distribution and consequently altered chemical and physical properties.

Reconstituted meadowfoam oil

The present invention relates to a series of 'reconstituted castor oils'. The term reconstituted as used hereon refers to a process in which castor oil and one or more oils of natural origin are transesterified under conditions of high temperature and catalyst to make a 'reconstituted product' having an altered alkyl distribution and consequently altered chemical and physical properties.

The invention relates to a series of novel alkoxylated fluoro esters which contain a terminal carboxy group. This class of compounds provides unique solubility in many organic solvents as well as very substantive salts of the carboxylic acid when neutralized with base. In addition, the compounds of the present invention have tremendous spreadability when applied to substrate. The compounds of the present invention are prepared by reacting a the hydroxyl group in a fluoro alcohol with an anhydride.

Alkoxylated fluoro esters carboxylates

The present invention deals with the composition, and application of novel compounds, useful as anti-tangle, and conditioning agents for use in personal care, on hair which has been processed. By processes is meant hair which has been subjected to the process of bleaching, relaxing, permanent waving, and/or coloring. These processes make the hair raspy and degrade the properties of the hair. The properties of these novel compounds remediates the damage done to hair and leaves it more manageable and less raspy. The compounds are truly multi-functional, providing softening conditioning, and gloss to treated hair.

Meadowfoam amidopropyl dimethyl amine salts

The present invention deals with the composition of matter and the utilization of certain novel polyoxyalkylene glycol esters which are prepared by the reaction of a meadowfoam oil, meadowfoam fatty acid or meadowfoam methyl ester and a polyoxylalkylene glycol as emulsifiers.

The invention discloses novel alkoxylated salicylate esters of silicone compounds which contain an ester linkage, a polyoxyalkylene portion and a silicone polymer portion. Compounds of the invention are made by reacting (a) an alkoxylated carboxy silicone, and (b) salicylic acid to form an ester. Compounds of the invention by virtue of (i) the silicone group, (ii) the ester group and (iii) the ultra violet absorbing group salicylic, the compounds are effective durable ultra violet absorbers. The presence of the polyoxyalkylene portion of the molecule allows for the modification of the solubilities of the molecule in a variety of polar and non-polar solvents.

The present invention deals with the composition of matter and the utilization of certain amine oxides of meadowfoam amido propyl dimethyl amine. These materials are useful in personal care applications.

Meadowfoam amine oxides

The present invention relates to certain reconstituted wax esters, prepared by the reaction of a silianol polymer and a natural high molecular wax ester selected from the group consisting of beeswax, candelillia, and carnauba wax. These materials are useful in preparation of cosmetic products where their ability to couple organic, silicone and other components into a uniform mass is unsurpassed. One major area for the use of these materials is in lipsticks. In addition they are useful in antiperspirants and other formulations which contain both oils and silicones.

The invention discloses novel salicylate esters of silicone compounds which contain an ester linkage, and a silicone polymer. Compounds of the invention are made by reacting (a) a carboxy silicone, and (b) salicylic acid to form an ester. Compounds of the invention by virtue of (i) the silicone group, (ii) the ester group and (iii) the ultra violet absorbing group salicylic, the compounds are effective durable ultra violet absorbers.

Silicone salicylate esters

The present invention relates to a series of novel silicone phosphate esters which mitigate eye and skin irritation when used in synergistic combinations with fatty alcohol sulfates and fatty alcohol ether sulfates. These materials form complexes which have surprisingly low irritation properties.
