The present disclosure is a femoral preparation guide and a kit of surgical components related to the femoral preparation guide. The femoral preparation guide is for use on a condyle of a femur during a surgical procedure in which the condyle receives a femoral condylar implant. The femoral preparation guide includes a posterior portion for fitting over a posterior region of the condyle and a distal portion for fitting over a distal region of the condyle. The distal portion is at an angle relative to the posterior portion. The distal portion includes first and second resections slots for receiving cutting tools that provide two resections of the condyle. The first and second resections slots being at angles relative to each other.

Partial knee implants and methods for installing the same

An acetabular trialing system has a trial cup including a body comprising an outer surface, a part-spherical inner surface and a rim extending between the inner and outer surface with a plurality of spaced inwardly resiliently deflectable rim members each connected at a first end to the body outer surface. The part-spherical inner surface has a plurality of spaced resilient deflectable bearing members each forming part of the body part-spherical inner surface. The bearing members have a first end deflectable towards the body outer surface. Upon inward deflection, one of the plurality of deflectable rim members is capable of contacting the first end of a corresponding one of the plurality of deflectable bearing members and moving the bearing member towards the body outer surface and into contact an electrical signaling device mounted on the body intermediate the outer surface thereof and the deflectable bearing member.

Acetabular cup positioning device

The present invention relates to a femoral component for use in connection with knee anthroplasty. The implant includes a support having a contoured inner bone engaging surface, and a shell affixed to the support. The shell has an outer surface spaced so as to provide an articulation surface for engaging the tibia that substantially replicates the shape of a femoral condyle, and an inner surface for receiving an outer surface of the support. The support bone engaging surface is structured to mate with a prepared surface of the distal femur and the support spaces the shell outer surface at a predetermined distance from the prepared surface.

Composite joint implant

A surgical drape with a functional interface for engaging surgical instruments, including a flexible, tube-like sleeve for creating a sterile barrier around a non-sterile holding arm. The drape is open at a proximal end, and has a hub at a distal end for connection to a distal end of the holding arm. The hub has sterile external surfaces that allow surgical instruments to be easily removably attached in a variety of directions and orientations, providing sufficient mechanical strength to transmit forces from the instruments to the holding arm. The hub includes an externally accessible, sterile actuator for actuating an electronic circuit local to the holding arm on the non-sterile side of the barrier.

Surgical drape system

A cover for fracturing the neck of a glass ampoule or vial of the type having a glass body, a glass top and a glass neck joining the body to the top and dispensing fluid therefrom. The cover has a first portion with a hollow interior sized to sealingly receive and resiliently capture the body portion of the ampoule. The device has a second portion including a first hollow interior section sized to engage and capture the top of the ampoule. The second portion of the device has a second section in the form of a pouring spout in fluid communication with the ampoule neck and includes an opening for dispensing the liquid contents of the ampoule which opening is covered by a filter. A resiliently expandable portion connects the first and second portions. The expandable portion is in a contracted position before the neck of the glass ampoule is broken and expands upon breaking the neck thereby moving the top of the ampoule away from the ampoule body.
