A folding staircase for use in a door opening having a threshold. The folding staircase has a pair of stringers that have an upper end and a lower end that is adapted for contacting a ground surface. The stringers are spanned by at least one tread. A hinge is connected to a floor near the door opening and a threshold plate pivotally connected thereto is movable between a use position and a stowed position. The staircase may be provided with a lifting mechanism that biases the staircase and threshold plate toward their stowed positions. The lifting device provides a variable force that provides more rotational force when the staircase would require a user to bear more of its weight and less force when less of the weight of the staircase would be borne by a user.

Folding staircase

A pop-up camper has a roof that is movable between a stored position where it is close to a perimeter wall and use position where it is raised away from the perimeter wall. The perimeter wall has a gap that receives a door that is attached to the pop-up camper at the floor level. The door pivots between a stored position where panel spans and seals a gap in the sidewall and use position where the panel folds down and a terminal edge is close to the ground. The door includes stringers with steps that extend between. Adjustable feet are received at the end of the stringers adjacent the terminal edge and telescopically slide between a stored position where the feet are locked from rotation and do not extend beyond the terminal edge and an extended position where the feet can pivot.

Folding step for pop-up vehicle

Drawer arrangements are provided which include a drawer connected to a support structure having three guides for the path of the drawer between open and closed positions, at least two of which are operational at any given position of the drawer, as it moves both horizontally and vertically between different locations. In a closed position, the drawer is supported near its horizontal extremities and rests in a position that resists horizontal motion. In fully extended open positions, the drawer is supported in a cantilevered manner from the support structure. Intermediate the fully closed and fully extended positions, the drawer is supported in inclined positions which provide access to contents therein. The present invention also includes mounting structure which facilitates connection at a variety of locations under the floor of a motor home, with exterior accessibility.
