A secondary volume of a remote computational device stores an asynchronous copy of a primary volume of a local computational device. The remote computational device generates a target volume that stores consistent data from the secondary volume, and also generates a plurality of point in time copies at a plurality of instants of time from the target volume. A restoration is made of data in the primary volume to at least one of the plurality of instants of time by using one or more data structures that provide identification of all tracks from the target volume that are to be written to the primary volume for restoring the data in the primary volume.

The one or more artifacts and the one or more policies of a selected session may be synchronized from a primary server to the one or more HA standby servers.

In one embodiment, a local copy target is also a local primary of an incomplete consistency group of an ongoing asynchronous mirror relationship. Completion of the consistency group is facilitated notwithstanding that the local copy operation was initiated after the consistency group was initiated. A node down tolerance factor is set for at least one node in the computing storage environment. A determination of whether a number of at least one of a plurality of nodes in the computing storage environment currently down, including a target node to be upgraded, does not exceed the node down tolerance factor, and if the node down tolerance factor is not exceeded, a cluster health is checked.

Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for selecting one of a plurality of scanner nodes to perform scan operations for an interface node receiving a file request. A list includes a plurality of scanner nodes in a network and for each scanner node a performance value. One of the scanner nodes in the list is selected based on the performance values of the scanner nodes and the file is transmitted to the selected scanner node to perform a scan operation with respect to the file. Indication is received from the selected scanner node performing the scan operation whether a subset of code in the file matches code in a definition set. The file request is processed to result in execution of the file request based on the indication of whether the subset of code in the file matches a definition in the definition set.
