A method related to customers orchestrating engagements with service providers. The method includes providing, by a facilitator entity, a customer journey orchestration service that includes: service providers affiliated with the customer journey orchestration service; a virtual datacenter in which cloud-based applications and databases are operably linked to communication devices of the customers and to the affiliated services providers; customer interface portals for enabling the customers to interact with the virtual datacenter, each customer interface portal being associated with a specific customer; and a customer profile database that stores customer profiles corresponding to respective ones of the customers. The method further includes configuring, by the facilitator entity, an account of the customer for participation in the customer journey orchestration service. The method further includes orchestrating, by the facilitator entity, a current engagement relating to a plurality of the preferred service providers.

A method of anticipating user action by a contact center system based on machine learning includes receiving, by a processor of the contact center system, a first signal from an end user device in communication with the contact center system, the first signal being indicative of an event associated with a user journey, the user journey including a plurality of events, identifying, by the processor, a subset of the plurality of events of the user journey as a plurality of input events, predicting, by the processor, a next event associated with the user journey based on the plurality of input events; and generating, by the processor, a second signal for transmission to the end user device, the second signal including data corresponding to the next event.

Contact center system and method for advanced outbound communications to a contact group

A data processing method comprising establishing a first node in a peer-to-peer data communications network, wherein the node is configured as a supernode in conformance with a peer-to-peer communications protocol, wherein the first node is configured as an active listener to one or more network routing protocols executing at a network router; receiving a routing information message from one of the network routing protocols; modifying an operational characteristic of the first node in response to the routing information message; receiving a request from a second node in the peer-to-peer network for a resource that is known to the first node; and responding to the request based on the modified operational characteristic. For example, a peer-to-peer node may be configured as a network-aware BitTorrent Tracker, Gnutella supernode, etc., and can use IGP and BGP information from a router to determine how the node behaves.

Modifying operation of peer-to-peer networks based on integrating network routing information

A method for implementing a simple protocol, referred to as the universal transport interface (UTI), that can be used to create high speed Internet Protocol (IP) tunnels for transmitting a variety of different payloads across a network. Payload packets may comprise any currently known packet protocol, including but not limited to time division multiplex data, IP packets, asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) cells, Packet-over-SONET/SDH (POS) packets, and Frame Relay frames. The universal transport interface protocol consists of a predefined set of mappings whereby any known protocol can be packaged into a single, conceptually simple packet format. This format is referred to as the universal transport encapsulation (UTE) format. UTE format packets are, by design, amenable to transport over an IP network without further modification beyond standard IP encapsulation. The disclosed method further implements a security key system to prevent unauthorized use or interception of UTE packets on the network.

Method for universal transport encapsulation for internet protocol network communications

A system and method for locally determining a fair allocated bandwidth for a network node configured to send and receive packets in an upstream direction and a downstream direction is disclosed. A local allocated bandwidth is allocated for locally generated network packets sent in the downstream direction. A minimum downstream available network bandwidth is determined from information received in the upstream direction. The local allocated bandwidth is adjusted based on the minimum downstream available network bandwidth and the local allocated bandwidth is used to govern whether a class of locally generated network packets are sent in the downstream direction.

Method for universal transport encapsulation for Internet Protocol network communications

A multidimensional ring network includes a plurality of network processing devices that are connected together with a plurality of individual ring networks. Packets are sent between any two network processing devices on the same ring network. Intermediate network processing devices, located on that same ring, between the sending and receiving network processing devices, do not add additional hops to the packet transfer. The intermediate processing devices, between the sending and receiving devices, simply pass the packets through to the next processing device on that ring. The packets are passed through to the destination processing device without the intermediate network processing devices having to read or process the packet headers. This allows the number of network processing devices on the individual ring networks and the number of individual ring networks in the multidimensional ring network to be increased without adding additional hops, and the associated latency, between the network processing devices.
