Methods and systems for performing a formation pressure test include inserting a bottom hole assembly ('BHA') into a wellbore. The BHA includes a drill bit and a formation testing tool with a battery. An initial formation pressure test is performed. At least a portion of a planned formation pressure test is performed powering the formation testing tool with the battery. The method also includes determining, using a processor, at least one characteristic of the formation based on results of the initial formation pressure test and the planned formation pressure test.

Formation testing tool and methods for performing a formation pressure test using battery power

Methods and systems for performing a formation pressure test include inserting a bottom hole assembly ('BHA') into a wellbore. The BHA includes a drill bit and a formation testing tool with a battery and a fluid powered generator. An initial formation pressure test is performed while powering the formation testing tool with the fluid powered generator during the entire initial test. At least a portion of a formation pressure test is performed powering the formation testing tool with the battery during while the fluid powered generator is unavailable due to insufficient fluid circulation in the wellbore. The method also includes determining, using a processor, at least one characteristic of the formation based on results of the initial formation pressure test and the formation pressure test.

Formation testing tool and methods for performing a hybrid power formation pressure test

A system and method may comprise a downhole fluid sampling tool including a tool body; a flow port disposed on the tool body; a sample chamber disposed within the tool body and fluidly coupled to the flow port; a pump disposed within the tool body. In examples, the pump is configured to pump a fluid through the flow port into the sample chamber; a filter disposed on an inlet of the flow port, wherein the filter is configured to filter the fluid entering the flow port; and a removable filter cover configured to prevent fluid contact with the filter.

A method and system for disposing a fluid sampling tool into a wellbore, taking a plurality of fluid samples with the fluid sampling tool, identifying a plurality of asphaltene onset pressures (AOP) downhole based at the least on the plurality of fluid samples. The method may further comprise forming an AOP map from at least the plurality of AOPs, identifying a laboratory property from at least one of the plurality of fluid samples; and developing a relational model between at least one of the plurality of AOPs and the laboratory property. The system may include a fluid sampling tool with one or more probes for injecting the one or more probes into a wellbore and taking a plurality of fluid samples from the wellbore.

A method and system for identifying scale. The method may include disposing a fluid sampling tool into a wellbore. The fluid sampling tool may comprise at least one probe configured to fluidly connect the fluid sampling tool to a formation in the wellbore and at least one passageway that passes through the at least one probe and into the fluid sampling tool. The method may further comprise drawing a formation fluid, as a fluid sample, through the at least one probe and through the at least one passageway, perturbing the formation fluid, and analyzing the fluid sample in the fluid sampling tool for one or more indications of scale.

The disclosure presents processes to determine a first formation fluid-second formation fluid boundary from one side of the boundary utilizing a formation tester tool. For example, the formation tester can be utilized in a borehole to determine an engagement point with a subterranean formation and determine one or more, or a combination of, injectable fluids to inject into the subterranean formation. Sensors coupled to the formation tester can measure the rebound pressure of the injected fluids. In some aspects, the fluid density of the collected fluid can be measured. The measured pressure changes and other collected data, can be utilized to determine a first formation fluid-second formation fluid boundary parameter. Other characteristic parameters can also be determined such as wettability parameters, porosity parameters, and capillary effects parameters. The formation tester can collect a core sample and an analyzation of the core sample can be utilized to determine the characteristic parameters.

A downhole fluid sampling tool comprising one or more probes configured to take at least one fluid sample from the wellbore and perform a Saturates, Aromatics, Resins, Asphaltenes (SARA) analysis on the at least one fluid sample. Additionally, the downhole fluid sampling tool comprises an information handling system for developing a first remediation operation based at least in part on the first SARA analysis and performing the first remediation operation on the first fluid sample to form a first remediated fluid sample.

A system and method for a fluid sampling tool. The fluid sampling tool may include a probe section. The probe section may include one or more probes, one or more stabilizers, and a housing that houses a bi directional piston pump. The method may include disposing a fluid sampling tool into a wellbore at a first depth, pressing the one or more probes into a surface of the wellbore, drawing a reservoir fluid from the wellbore through the one or more probes, placing the reservoir fluid into the housing, isolating the housing from the one or more modules of the fluid sampling tool with one or more shut in valves, depressurizing the housing with the bi directional piston pump, and measuring the asphaltene precipitation of the reservoir fluid within the housing.
