An indoor environmental control and air distribution system for a building includes: an air handling unit; a manifold connected to the air handling unit having a chamber formed by a plurality of walls and a plurality of orifices formed through at least one of the walls; air distribution conduits each independently having a first end connected to the orifices of the manifold and a second end extending out from the manifold into different zones throughout the building; and an airflow modulating device having one or more airflow regulating dampers independently configured to move into at least two positions in which each position provides a different percentage of total air volume to each air distribution conduit. A method of using the indoor environmental control and air distribution system is also included.

Environmental control and air distribution system and method of using the same

A wall system for a building is provided having a first room and a second room is provided. The wall system includes: (a) a first panel having a first batting material positioned between a first board and a second board; and (b) a second panel having a second batting material positioned between a third board and a fourth board. Further, at least one of the second board and the fourth board is formed from at least one mineral wool board. A building having a first floor, a foundation, and a first floor board area positioned between the first floor and the foundation is also provided. The first floor of the building includes a first room, a second room, and a wall system positioned between the first room and the second room.

A foam wall structure includes a frame, at least one primary support member, a slab of polyiso board and a foam layer. The frame can include: a first member, a second member spaced apart from the first member; and two side members extending between the first and second members. The frame defining a front frame surface and an opposite rear frame surface. The at least one primary support member can be positioned between the two side members and extend between the first and second member. The primary support member defines a front support surface and an opposite rear support surface. The slab of polyiso board may be attached to the front frame surface. The foam layer can be received within at least a portion of the frame and overlies the front surface of the primary support member. A method of making a foam wall structure and a pre-fabricated wall is also disclosed.

Foam wall structure

A permanent wood foundation wall which includes a frame having a first member, a second member spaced apart from the first member, and two side members. The first member, second member, and two side members each have a front surface and a rear surface that form the front frame surface and the rear frame surface. A cavity is formed between the front frame surface and the rear frame surface of the frame and the first member, second member, and two side members are formed from a wood material including a preservative. Further, the permanent wood foundation wall includes a sheathing board having a first side attached to the rear frame surface of the frame and a second side opposite the first side, a waterproofing membrane applied to the second side of the sheathing board, and a foam layer formed within the cavity of the frame.

A wall system for a building having a first room and a second room is provided. The wall system includes: (a) a first panel having a first batting material positioned between a first board and a second board; and (b) a second panel having a second batting material positioned between a third board and a fourth board. Further, at least one of the second board and the fourth board is formed from at least one mineral wool board. A building having a first floor, a foundation, and a first floor board area positioned between the first floor and the foundation is also provided. The first floor of the building includes a first room, a second room, and a wall system positioned between the first room and the second room.
