In an aspect, a first transmission of data fragments of a first component and a second transmission of data fragments of a second component may be transmitted and synchronized for presentation. If an inactivity event is detected the session may be maintained while reducing bandwidth consumption.

Delivery of multimedia components according to user activity

Methods, systems, and apparatuses for performing Near-field communication (NFC) over a network are presented. In an implementation, a computing device may send to a mobile device a cellular signal that carries information for a NFC signal communication through a communication link, such as a cable. The computing device may determine that an NFC signal propagated from the mobile device has traversed or has been received over the communication link. The computing device may indicate receipt of the NFC signal, or initiate other actions.

Near-field communication over service networks

Systems and methods are disclosed comprising receiving an upstream service signal from a premises. In an aspect, the systems and methods are configured for providing a wireless signal based on the received service signal external to the premises.

System and method for network deployment and management

A device and method for forming a portable network environment outside a managed network environment for sharing content is provided. A portable network device enables authorized consumption of content outside a managed environment. The portable network device may have an internal rechargeable battery and support wireless protocols such as Wi-Fi. The portable network device may act as a Wi-Fi base station allowing access to authorized Wi-Fi clients via a mesh network.
