Systems and techniques for computer vision and sensor assisted contamination tracking are described herein. It may be identified that a food item has moved to a monitored area using computer vision. Sensor readings may be obtained from a sensor array. A contamination of the food item may be determined using the sensor readings. The contamination of the food item may be associated with a contamination area in the monitored area using the computer vision. A notification may be output for display in the contamination area indicating the contamination.

In accordance with various aspects of the disclosure, a system, method, and device for detecting motion based on channel fading characteristics are presented. One or more packets may be received wirelessly from a wireless transmitter. A fading profile may be determined for each packet. From the plurality of fading profiles, one or more parameters indicative of fading change, changes in shape of fading profiles, fading variance, and of other channel characteristics may be determined. A classifier function may be trained to associate parameter values with a lack of motion, with device motion, or with motion of an object in the vicinity of a stationary wireless-enabled device. The classifier function may be used to determine whether there is motion based on one or more subsequently received packets.

Disclosed herein are technologies for detecting misleading identifiable wireless signal (IWS) sources by a mobile device. When a mobile device attempts to estimate its location or route based upon ambient IWS sources, such estimations presume that the ambient IWS sources are unique, stationary, and relatively short ranged. A misleading IWS source is one that does not adhere to one or more of those presumptions. Generally, this disclosure provides systems, devices, methods and computer readable media for the use of digital TV (DTV) bandwidth for web cache pre-loading. A system may include a receiver module configured to receive a digital television (DTV) signal. The system may also include a data extraction module configured to extract the web cache data from the DTV signal, wherein the web cache data is encoded within the spectral bandwidth of the DTV signal. The system may further include a network interface configured to transmit the extracted web cache data to a device that includes a web cache pre-loading service.

In an implementation, during training stage, multiple channel fading profile samples within a user defined ROI are received and stored in a portable device. During detecting stage, the portable device may implement a sub-meter ROI detection algorithm to perform the detection.

A device, system, and method are presented for detecting motion. The system may include the device and a first transmitter and a second transmitter configured to transmit a first set of wireless signals and a second set of wireless signals, respectively. The device may have a receiver configured to receive the first and second set of wireless signals, and may further include a processing unit that determines a first value and a second value indicative of fading attenuations experienced by the first set of wireless signals and the second set of wireless signals, respectively. The processing unit may further determine whether the first and second values are each consistent with motion of an object in proximity to the device. The processing unit may cause the device to output an indication of presence of the object if both values are consistent with motion of the object in proximity to the device.
