A vehicle seat including a fixed rail assembly, a translatable rail, and a translatable bracket. The fixed rail assembly includes a fixed rail and a fixed bracket extending from the fixed rail assembly. The translatable rail is configured to translate in a longitudinal direction along the fixed rail. The translatable bracket is fixed relative to the translatable rail such that the translatable rail and the translatable bracket translate in unison. The translatable bracket is configured to retain portions of the translatable rail within portions of the fixed rail. The translatable bracket includes a translating stop. The translatable rail is configured to translate between a first position in which the translating stop engages a fixed stop and a second position in which the translating stop is spaced apart from the translating stop.

A rail assembly may include a translatable rail, a fixed rail, a gearbox assembly, and a nut. The fixed rail may include a spindle bracket that may define an aperture and the spindle may extend through the aperture. The gearbox assembly may be disposed on the spindle and configured to carry the translatable rail along the longitudinal direction and the fixed rail. The nut may be fixed to the gearbox assembly and include a first portion and a second portion that may be integrally formed with one another. A section of the first portion may be configured to be disposed in the aperture of the spindle bracket.

An assembly group of a vehicle seat comprises a tube element having a tube section extending along a longitudinal direction and a bead section formed on the tube element and radially protruding with respect to the tube section. An attachment part is connected in a torsionally locked manner to the tube element and has a planar section and a first opening formed in the planar section, wherein the tube element extends through the first opening such that the tube element with the bead section abuts the planar section of the attachment part. The attachment part comprises at least a second opening separate from the first opening. The bead section comprises at least one protrusion element engaging with the at least one second opening for torsionally locking the tube element with respect to the attachment part.

The present invention relates to a vehicle seat with a floor component group and a seat frame which is fixed to the floor component group. The seat frame is connected to the floor component group via at least one coupling element and is arranged spaced apart from the floor component group essentially vertically to a longitudinal seat direction, wherein the coupling element is fixed to the seat frame on the one hand and to the floor component group on the other hand, and an arrester element is provided at the seat frame, which arrester element is formed and arranged in such a manner that the coupling element can make contact with the arrester element in case of a crash, and the arrester element then counteracts a deformation of the coupling element transversely to the longitudinal seat direction. The arrester element has a planar section that the coupling element can contact in case of a crash and along which forces from the coupling element are then transferred to the seat frame, in order to counteract a deformation of the coupling element transversely to the longitudinal seat direction.

A seat raiser for spacing a seat rail of a motor vehicle seat from a vehicle floor is provided. The seat raiser comprising a welding portion which includes at least one specified welding point and is formed and provided to weld the seat rail to the seat raiser at the welding point and a fastening portion which includes at least one specified fastening point and is formed and provided to fasten the seat raiser to the vehicle floor at the fastening point. The seat raiser is formed substantially L-shaped in cross-section and the welding portion and the fastening portion each form a leg of the L-shape. The welding portion includes exactly two specified welding points spaced from each other, via which the seat raiser is to be welded to the seat rail.

A parking brake actuator for a motor vehicle includes a fixed support, a lever pivotably connected to the support for movement between brake-releasing and brake-engaging positions, and a locking mechanism adapted to releasably maintain the lever in the brake-engaging position. An electrical switch has a blade operable to indicate when the lever is out of the brake releasing position. The fixed support forms a unitary mounting bracket for securing the switch blade to the fixed support so that the switch is integrated with the actuator. The fixed support and the unitary mounting bracket are preferably unitarily molded of plastic. The switch is preferably located near a mounting hole formed in the fixed support which receives a fastener to secure the fixed support to the motor vehicle. The switch can then extend to the mounting hole to contact the fastener and connect the switch to motor vehicle ground.

A chain tensioner apparatus includes a mounting bracket adapted for connection to an associated engine block. The mounting bracket defines a pivot point and a support surface. A blade is connected to the bracket and includes: (i) first and second opposite end portions joined together by a central portion; (ii) a hub defined by the first end portion; and, (iii) a first end wall connecting the hub to the central portion. The hub of the blade is pivotably connected to the bracket at the pivot point and the second end of the blade abuts the support surface. The blade defines an exterior chain guide surface adapted for slidingly abutting an associated chain of an associated chain drive system. The chain tensioner apparatus further includes a tensioning spring connected to the blade, the spring having opposite first and second ends located respectively adjacent the first and second opposite end portions of the blade. The spring contacts and exerts a biasing force on the central portion of the blade. A rib projects outwardly away from the first end wall of the blade. The rib comprises a first end located adjacent the central portion of the blade and a second end located adjacent the hub. The blade and spring, without the mounting bracket, define a blade/spring sub-assembly.

A chain tensioner apparatus utilizes a synthetic plastic (e.g. nylon) bracket that permits a fastener at a pivot end of the bracket to serve as a pivot pin for a shoe sub-assembly as well as a bracket fastener. A free end fastener can be positioned very close to, or substantially below, a reaction surface of the bracket. An interlocking feature is provided at a pivot end of the bracket/shoe sub-assembly and serves to maintain an interlock of the shoe-to-bracket in cooperation with an installation pin. Additionally, a positioning feature is used at the pivot end of the bracket. In order to permit the free rotation of the shoe relative to the bracket, the pivot end of the bracket is not clamped rigidly to the engine case when a pivot end bolt is installed. Further, a dowel pin can be used at the pivot end of the bracket.
