Smart arm for use with multimedia pole and other structures

A self-cleaning burner system incorporates an automatic clean cycle when the burner is started up. Cycles may be programmed for once-a-day cleaning cycle or for other desired interval. On start-up, the cycle routes a small amount of fuel to the burner for ignition inside the burner to clean the burner surfaces. The system incorporates an igniter for fast, routine, and safe ignition of the fuel. Thus, small amounts of debris that accumulate on a surface burner are automatically ignited when the burner is started, keeping the burner clean and operating at a high state of efficiency at all times. The self-cleaning burner system may be incorporated into a fryer or other heating appliance for reliable, efficient operation.

An improved heat exchange mechanism for a deep fat fryer is described. The improvement includes a baffle plate wherein the walls are corrugated and horizontally aligned holes are provided along the length of the plate with the interior two rows of such holes having decreasing diameter in the direction of flow of the combustion gases through the heat tube. In addition, holes are formed at the edges of the corrugations. A burner shield is provided restricting the flow of secondary air to the burner tube.

Deep fat fryer with improved heat transfer

A baffle system for a deep fat fryer is described. The baffle system improves heat transfer from straight heat tubes which pass through the tank. The baffle is disposed within the tube to encounter products of combustion from a gas fired burner which enter the tube, and causes the products of combustion to swirl against the internal walls of the heat tube. In addition the baffle provides radiant surfaces which, when heated, radiate heat energy against the walls of the tube and the baffle rests on the tube wall itself to heat the same by conduction. Each baffle includes a plate with wings struck therefrom disposed at an acute angle against the flow of combustion products and each wing terminates in a flat tab disposed parallel to the plate for radiant energy.

Efficient frying apparatus

A natural draft combustion system having a housing enclosing at least a portion of a material heating container and at least one combustion space in heat exchange relation with the material heating container and extending from a heat inlet side of the housing to a heat outlet side of the housing. A downward angled burner having a burner outlet in fluid communication with a heat inlet to the at least one combustion space is disposed on the heat inlet side. A natural draft combustion products exhaust conduit in fluid communication with the at least one combustion space is disposed proximate the heat outlet of the housing. As a result, a flame produced by the burner is introduced into the combustion space with a downward velocity component, which, in turn, results in improved efficiency over comparable conventional systems.

Fluid heating apparatus

A modular burner mounting assembly for a deep fat flyer is described. A vertical plate is used to support each burner with a fuel-air mixture being admitted at one end, and a flame disposed at an opposite end, the flame being dimensioned to register on its respective heat tube so products of combustion are admitted to the heat tube at one end, travel through the tube heating an oil bath surrounding the tube and exits through the flue. A single pilot is integrally mounted on the mounting plate between a pair of centrally located burners so that the pilot simultaneously ignites the fuel-air mixture exiting from each burner. Carry over brackets are provided between the burners ignited by the pilot and adjacent burners so that the flame of one burner passes directly to a fuel-air mixture exiting an adjacent burner to ignite the same. In this way a single pilot can be used to ignite two, four, or even five burners or more as required.
