Bicycle seat pan

A bicycle seat assembly that is configured to be attached to a frame of a bicycle includes a seat pan, a foam layer, and an air cell pad. The seat pan is configured to be attached to the frame of the bicycle. The seat pan includes a pair of cutouts that are spaced apart from one another. The air cell pad includes a base and a plurality of upstanding air cells that are coupled to the base, each of the plurality of air cells being configured to retain air. The foam layer can be positioned between the air cell pad and the seat pan; or the air cell pad can be positioned between the foam layer and the seat pan.

Bicycle seat assembly with improved comfort and support

A bicycle seat assembly includes a seat pan that is configured to be attached to a frame of a bicycle. The seat pan includes a pair of cutouts that are spaced apart from one another. When the bicycle seat assembly is in an unstressed condition no structures are positioned within the cutouts. The bicycle seat assembly can further include a resilient layer that is positioned adjacent to the seat pan. The resilient layer extends over the cutouts when the bicycle seat assembly is in the unstressed condition. The bicycle seat assembly can also include an air cell pad that is positioned over the seat pan. The air cell pad includes a base and a plurality of upstanding air cells that are coupled to the base, each of the plurality of air cells being configured to retain air.

A seat cushion that provides enhanced comfort and support for a user, comprises a base surface and a plurality of air cells that are positioned on and extend generally upwardly away from the base surface. The plurality of air cells include (i) a first paired air cell having a first upper surface, the entire first upper surface being angled in a first direction relative to the base surface; and (ii) a second paired air cell having a second upper surface, the entire second upper surface being angled in a second direction relative to the base surface that is different than the first direction. The second paired air cell is positioned adjacent to the first paired air cell. Additionally, the first paired air cell and the second paired air cell cooperate to provide a substantially concave combined upper surface.

A seat comprising a base pan defining cutouts positioned under a seating area for a seated user, a resilient membrane over the cutouts, a cushion on the base pan, at least one air cell pad on the cushion at the seating area and a cover.

Air cushion

A release valve for connection to an inflatable cushion comprising an air conduit, a fitting at a first end of the air conduit for insertion into an air tube in fluid communication with the interior of the cushion, and an air inlet port at the opposite end of the air conduit and a filter assembly at the air inlet port. There is first, vertically orientated, spring biased ball valve centrally positioned in the air conduit including at least one air egress vent and being operatively associated with a spring biased actuator in the ball valve housing for opening the first ball valve. The button and first ball valve define a gap to minimize accidental air release. A second longitudinally orientated, spring biased ball valve is positioned in the air conduit adjacent the air inlet port.
