A support ring for vehicle tires is disclosed. The support ring is to be mounted on a tire wheel for support of the underside of the tire when the tire is operated at underinflated conditions. The support ring has a base, a cap, and a series of supporting arches extending between the base and the cap. The highest point of the arch contacts the support ring cap. During load, the arch flexes and transmits the load force along the arch sides and to the base of the support ring.

The present invention is a non-pneumatic tire comprising a rim and one or more elastomeric materials bonded to the rim or to one another. The tire has an equatorial plane, an annular tread, and an annular elastomeric body having first and second spaced lateral sides equidistant from the equatorial plane and extending between the tread and the rim. The tire body has a plurality of equally spaced arches forming at least a first series of openings extending from the first side to the second side. The first openings having a height at least one-half the height of the tire side.

A splice for a fabric reinforced conveyor belt comprising a fabric layer having mating ends cut as an arc of a circle having a radius whose length is greater than the width of the fabric. There is also provided a fabric reinforced conveyor belt comprising: a) a pulley cover; b) at least one layer of fabric reinforcement; and (c) a top cover, wherein the fabric layer has a splice as described immediately above.
