A dispensing closure for a squeeze container comprises a closure cap having a discharge spout terminating in a discharge orifice, and a spout cover hingedly connected to the cap for manual rocking movement about a transverse hinge axis between discharge orifice closed and open positions. The cover has a lid overlying and sealing the orifice closed and is snap locked thereto in the closed position.

Pivoting dispensing closure

A toilet tank dispenser for passively isolating the chemical solution in the dispenser from the tank during quiescent periods. The dispenser also provides means for releasing a chemical solution into the water in the tank at a release rate which may be easily varied. The isolation and release rate are achieved and controlled by a porous member inserted in the water flow path of the dispenser.

Dispenser having air lock forming means

A toilet tank dispenser having an inlet/outlet tube and including a valve which restricts water flow in one direction while not substantially restricting water flow in the opposite direction. The valve causes the water flowing into the inlet/outlet tube during the filling cycle to flow sufficiently slowly to create an air space in the tube. The air space becomes an air bubble in the top of the inlet/outlet tube during quiescent periods to isolate the dispenser contents from the tank.

A manually openable closure system for a container spout. The closure is provided with a pull tab extending below the closure and adjacent the spout surface. The closure is removable from the spout without the use of any auxiliary cutting or other tools. The closure is resilient and is provided with a top portion for sealing the spout orifice and for venting the interior of the container by being deformed by an excessive internal pressure to uncover the orifice thereby venting the interior of the container via the space between the cap and the spout.

A child resistant closure construction for one end of a container, such as a cylindrical container. A removable plug normally closes a dispensing opening at one end of the container, the plug provided with a radially extending ear. The plug and ear are so configured that removal of the plug by a child is difficult because there is no easy method to firmly manually grasp any portion of the plug. A raised abutment is integrally carried by the end closure of the container. Upon rotation of the closure plug to a certain angular position, the ear strikes the abutment and the ear tilts away from the container interior to thereby enable it to be grasped and pulled to remove the closure plug.

Child resistant container

A child-resistant closure comprising a can ring provided with an orifice through which the container is filled or emptied, the orifice having a peripheral rim in the form of an inverted U-shaped channel defined by an exterior leg and an interior leg, a portion of the interior leg extending below the lower edge of said interior leg to provide an unlocking tab, said can ring being further provided with indicia in its top surface to designate the location of said unlocking tab, and a cap, the cap comprising a disc portion; an annular ring portion disposed in a plane parallel to said disc portion, said annular ring portion having a peripheral sealing skirt; an annular wall connecting the disc portion and the annular ring portion, the annular wall forming with the sealing skirt an arcuate annular groove on the underside of the annular ring portion, the annular groove being adapted for flush superposition on the inverted U-shaped channel; a pull tab extending outwardly horizontally from the periphery of the annular ring portion; an annular retaining flange extending through the periphery of the disc portion; and a first protrusion extending outwardly horizontally from said annular retaining flange, the protrusion being proximate to and in alignment with the pull tab.

Child-resistant closure

A circular tubular cap and dummy cosmetic stick assembly in which the cap is transparent near the top and opaque near the bottom. The dummy cosmetic stick (e.g. lipstick) is maintained in place in the cap near its top by means of upwardly extending flexible tabs which form part of a tray that forms the base of the dummy cosmetic stick.
