A hinge for a casement window having components releasably held in positions related to each other to provide for movement of a window-supporting sash arm between closed and egress positions. The structure includes a support arm pivotally connected between a track of the hinge and the sash arm. The pivot mounting of the support arm to the track, or the effective length of the support arm can be varied to enable movement of the window sash from an egress position to a washability position.

Casement window hinge

A telescoping pole crank assembly having a tubular pole crank which movably mounts an extension pole for setting the overall length of the pole crank assembly. The extension pole is held in its adjusted position by a locking collar structure including a collar collet fixed to the pole crank and an outside collar rotatably mounted thereon for controlling the engagement of clamping fingers on the collar collet with the extension pole. The extension pole is rotationally interlocked with the pole crank by a series of elongated ribs formed on the extension pole which interfit with slots between clamping fingers of the collar collet. The components are held in assembled relation by rivets which interconnect the collar collet to the pole crank and with the rivets being held in position by the outside collar which is rotatably threaded on the collar collet and a coacting structure on the outside collar and the collar collet limit the separating movement of one with respect to the other after initial assembly.

Telescoping pole crank assembly

A concealed hinge between the lid and chest of a freezer has a hook shaped support bracket with a leg and bight. The bracket leg is mounted within one wall of the chest and the bight defines substantially diametrically opposed first and second pivots. A mounting structure is provided to pivotably secure the lid to the first pivot of the support bracket. A fixed point is defined within the lid and a compression spring member is provided between the fixed point and the second pivot of the bracket. The bracket leg is mounted within the chest wall by plastic components which function as a thermal barrier.

Concealed freezer hinge

A chain operator for a window, and particularly a skylight window, having a casing with a chain storage area from which a chain can be advanced for opening of the window. The casing is constructed for mounting of different types of drive mechanism for a chain drive sprocket within the casing. A unitary liner is fitted within the casing to provide a reduced friction mounting for the drive sprocket and a reduced friction guide for the chain, with the liner being positioned in high load and high wear areas to result in smooth and quiet long-life operation. The chain operator has a chain composed of solid links pivotally interconnected by U-shaped links and interrelated in a manner to readily move between straight and curved configurations and operate under relatively heavy load.
