A system for the generation of energy based upon the differences in the atmospheric pressure at geographically spaced apart sites, referred herein as the &ldquo;Atmospheric Cold Megawatt&rdquo; energy producing system of the invention (hereinafter &ldquo;ACM&rdquo;) comprises at least one long conduit, in the order of many miles long, preferably of at least two portions of different internal areas capable of conducting significant amounts of air there through. In operation the air flow in the conduit will accelerate to a high velocity wind without the consumption of any materials and without the use of any mechanical moving parts. A power converter, such as a wind turbine, in the conduit converts the high wind velocity generated by even minute pressure differences into energy of any desired type such as electricity. The opposite open ends of the conduit are located at geographically spaced sites preferably selected on the basis of historical information indicating an historical useful difference in barometric pressure. A plurality of conduits each having open ends in different geographically spaced sites may be interconnected to maximize the existing pressure differences that will assure higher and more consistent levels of energy production.

Atmospheric cold megawatts (ACM) system TM for generating energy from differences in atmospheric pressure

Ammunition having increased projectile velocity and energy without increasing the chamber pressure within a firearm such as a handgun, rifle, anti-aircraft gun, canon, etc. This is accomplished by simultaneously incorporating at least two of three interdependent modifications. The concept consists of using a specific gunpowder pseudo overcharge by adding more and/or faster burning explosive, in conjunction with a projectile having an internally jacketed axial bore. The jacketed bore must possess sufficient area to prevent the pseudo overcharge pressure from exceeding the predetermined pressure specification. The net result is a pressure and confident modification of the gunpowder burning parameters which produce much higher average propulsion pressure for any given peak pressure.

Firearm bullet

A low cost method for transporting an iceberg from one location to another in a body of water without the need of boarding, or physical pushing or pulling contact therewith. The method involves the releasing of a large volume of air bubbles underwater in specific proximity to a portion of the floating iceberg. The bubbles are formed by allowing air to escape from openings in a submerged tube structure to form a shroud or wall of many bubbles. The bubbles are released in such areas as to provide bubble envelopment of a portion of the subsurface of the iceberg. Primarily, this raises the water surface of a peripheral portion of the iceberg to result in an increase in pressure and movement of the iceberg away from the bubble-enveloped side of the iceberg.

Method for moving icebergs in a body of water and related apparatus

An archery bow in which there are limbs outwardly extending from a center grip portion, and the cross-sections of the limbs at points along the longitudinal axis of the limbs are of predetermined curved configuration such that on drawing of the bow and decreasing of the radius of curvature of the longitudinal axis of the bow, there will occur at a predetermined rate, increase in the radii of cross-sectional curvature of the limbs. Each bow limb structure has cross-sectional configurations that are curved in its transverse planes which are substantially perpendicular to its longitudinal axis. The configurations have predetermined dimensions of thickness and predetermined dimensions of extent of curvature which progressively vary at different sections of the limb structure. With increase of draw of the limb structures the radius of longitudinal curvature decreases while the radius of curvature of each configuration increases progressively and at different rates at different sections.

Archery bow and method of advantageously altering bow characteristics

A uni-directional valve arrangement placed in a predetermined location between a habitable enclosure and a heating or cooling system which is exposed to outdoor temperatures prevents air of undesirable temperature in the system from passing into the enclosure by gravity flow.

Energy saving device for habitable building enclosures having a heat

A breath testing system for under-supervised or unsupervised alcohol intoxication breath testing. The system includes a breath input unit, a controller which delivers a sample of deep lung breath to an evaluator including an alcohol detector and an output apparatus. The controller includes a breath flow sensing means, e.g., a pressure sensitive switch and timer, to require a predetermined and essentially continuous and uninterrupted breath flow prior to testing to thereby insure that alung breath sample is tested. Means for signaling failing or passing of the test are provided. A passing signal cannot be obtained unless the predetermined continuous nnd uninterrupted flow has occurred and the resulting sample tests below a predetermined alcohol concentration. The system is disclosed in one environment of use: in a motor vehicle, wherein failure to take or pass the test modifies the operation of the vehicle (e.g., prevents it from being driven or governs its maximum speed).

BREATH TESTING SYSTEM

A hydrokinetic device comprising a fluid containing housing and unique relatively rotatable wheel means, including an impeller wheel connected to an input shaft and a turbine wheel connected to an output shaft. With the addition of a stator wheel the device may provide torque multiplication between the shafts, or without the stator may be used to couple the shafts together. The wheel means is sized and arranged so that in one sequential pair of wheels the entrance edge of one of the wheels is spaced apart from the exit edge of the adjacent wheel a distance generally equal to or greater than the smallest maximum width of one of the wheels, and so that the heads generated by rotation of the wheels are predominantly additive and do not cause potentially destructive negative counter heads opposing the impeller flow. The conical configuration of wheel means with parallel edges especially lends itself to achieving such desired arrangement. Thus, the present hydrokinetic device prevents the generation of the destructive instability associated with hydrokinetic torque multipliers operated at variable fill, is capable of quickly being emptied and filled to achieve hydraulic neutral, and may be operated at various levels to achieve variable power absorbing and transmitting capacity.
