Records remotely stored for organizations include first data matching device identification data coupled to a device and safety-critical data for the device. The records are accessed by a mobile device operated by a user authorized by one of the organizations. An offline database is constructed on the mobile device using only records for the one organization. The mobile device is used to obtain device identification data from a particular device. It is determined if a first match exists between the device identification data and the remotely-stored first data, or if a second match exists between the device identification data and the first data in the offline database. Updates to the safety-critical data for the device are obtained via the mobile device when one of the first match and second match exists, and are stored in the remotely-stored record associated therewith.

System and method for accessing and updating device safety data by both owners and non-owners of devices

A liquid storage tank has a breathing valve that vents the tank's headspace at a high-pressure value and admits an ambient gas at a low-pressure value. A controller generates a first control signal when the percentage of the catalyst gas is less than a catalyst threshold, a second control signal when the percentage of the catalyst gas exceeds the catalyst threshold, and a third control signal when the pressure in the headspace is equal to a low-pressure threshold between the breathing valve's low-pressure value and high-pressure value. The first valve is only opened to output inert gas at a discharge pressure greater than the breathing valve's high-pressure value in response to the second control signal. The second valve is only opened to output inert gas at a discharge pressure that is between the breathing valve's low-pressure value and high-pressure value in response to the third control signal.

The device senses data related to the compressed gas. The data is automatically collected via the communication interface at a first data store every first time increment of a first time period. A method is provided for monitoring and logging data related to a compressed gas operation. A communication interface is coupled to a device supporting a compressed gas operation. Data related to the compressed gas operation is automatically collected via the communication interface at a first data store every first time increment of a first time period. Portions of the data from the first data store are automatically collected at a second data store every second time increment of each first time period. The second time increment is greater than the first time increment, and the portions of the data are collected for a second time period which is greater than the first time period.

System and method for monitoring and logging data related to a compressed gas operation

A tank data storing and monitoring system and method have an RFID tag coupled to and associated with a tank. The RFID tag has a unique identity specified by a unique identifier stored electronically on the RFID tag. Also included are an internet-accessing computer and database. The database stores data unique to the tank having the RFID tag coupled thereto. An RFID reader coupled to the computer is used to read only the unique identifier of the RFID tag. The computer accesses the data unique to the tank stored on the database using the unique identifier.

Efficient, secure, and safe system and method for storing and monitoring data used for refilling compressed-gas tanks

Operational facets of a compressor are controlled from a remotely-located computer. Data from the compressor is automatically collected at a first data store every first time increment of a first time period. Portions of the data from the first data store are automatically collected at a second data store every second time increment of each first time period. The second time increment is greater than the first time increment, and the portions of the data are collected for a second time period which is greater than the first time period. Successful verification of user authentication data collected at the computer causes automatic generation of an image of application icons at the computer to enable the computer as an input device for controlling the compressor and selections of routines available at an analytics visualization generator that uses data from the second data store.
