The present invention relates to an electronic proximity sensor having a decorative surface, characterized in that the decorative surface comprises a semiconductor layer, the thickness of which is between 10 nm and 100 nm. This coating imparts a desired metallic appearance to the proximity sensor, without the property thereof as a proximity sensor being lost.

Proximity sensor

The invention concerns an infrared sensor, in particular an optical finger navigation module, with a component used as a cover glass for the sensor, the component comprising a sensor region and a transparent region, the transparent region comprising a thin layer system which is at least partially transparent for visible light and comprises at least one layer, and the at least one layer being a metal layer, a semiconductor layer and/or a combination of a plurality of metals and/or a plurality of semiconductors, or comprising a combination of at least one metal and at least one semiconductor, characterized in that both the sensor region and the transparent region are covered with a UV-hardening hardened lacquer layer.

Coated component

The invention relates to a radar-transparent component comprising a plastic body. Said component is characterized in that at least parts of the surface have a coating with a thickness of between 10 nm and 100 nm that comprises a semiconductor. Said coating gives the plastic body the desired metallic appearance without the body losing the characteristic of a radar-transparent component.

The present invention concerns a plastic component with a coating system, wherein the coating system comprises a basecoat of paint which has been applied to the surface of the plastic and on which a coating applied by means of vapor phase deposition is provided, for its part covered by a top coat of paint, characterized in that the coating applied by vapor phase deposition comprises multiple layers.
