The present disclosure provides a method in a terminal device. The method includes: receiving from a network device a resource configuration for at least one Scheduling Request, SR, channel; and transmitting an SR to the network device in one of the at least one SR channel, for requesting for an uplink grant and for use by the network device for uplink channel measurement.

A method for estimating Multiple Input Multiple Output, MIMO, channel state information for a radio link between a first radio node including a number N, N&#x2265;2, of receiving antenna ports and a second radio node including a number M, M&#x2265;2, of transmitting antenna ports. The method includes obtaining partial channel state information from a reference signal transmitted by a number X, 1&#x2264;X&#x3c;M, of said transmitting antenna ports and received by all of said receiving antenna ports, said partial channel state information providing a measure for the N&#xd7;X propagation channels between all of said receiving antenna ports and said transmitting antenna ports. Also disclosed are corresponding devices and computer programs. Also disclosed is a method for controlling transmission based on estimated channel state information.

Method and devices for estimation of MIMO channel state information

A technique for selecting a transport format for a multiple-input multiple-output, MIMO, channel between a first station and a second station is described. The first station comprises M first antenna ports, wherein M&#x2265;2. The second station comprises N second antenna ports, wherein N&#x2265;2. As to a method aspect of the technique, a channel estimation is performed based on reference signals received at the M first antenna ports from a subset comprising Xsecond antenna ports among the N second antenna ports, wherein 1&#x2264;X&#x3c;N&#x2264;M. The channel estimation results in a partial channel state relating to the Xsecond antenna ports to the M first antenna ports. At least one extended channel state is constructed based on the partial channel state.
