A lidar system for scanning a scanning range. The lidar system includes a transmitter unit for generating beams and for emitting the generated beams along a scanning range, the transmitter unit having at least one radiation source. The lidar system also includes at least one receiver unit for receiving and evaluating beams reflected or scattered back in the scanning range. The scanning range acted upon by the generated beams is subdivided into at least two sections. At least one first section is scanned using a higher radiant power than a second section of the scanning range. A control unit is also described.

An optical element for a lidar system. The optical element includes an expanding optical system configured to expand received light beams, and a projection lens configured to receive and parallelize each of the expanded light beams from the expanding optical system. A 3-D lidar sensor, in particular, for motor vehicles, includes a laser beam source, an optical receiver and a scanning system for deflecting a laser beam generated by the laser beam source in two scanning directions perpendicular to each other; to increase the functionality, a further detection device for deviations from normal operation being provided in the 3-D lidar sensor. In addition, a corresponding method for operating the 3-D lidar sensor is provided.

LIDAR sensor for detecting an object

A detector array for detecting backscattered light of a LIDAR system includes an optical waveguide and a detector unit. The optical waveguide includes a light incoupling surface, which is formed by at least a portion of a circumferential surface of the optical waveguide for coupling-in the backscattered light of the LIDAR system, and a light outcoupling surface, which is formed by a cross-sectional surface of the optical waveguide on an axial end of the optical waveguide, and furthermore a luminescent material, which is introduced into the interior of the optical waveguide and configured to emit light re-emitted into a wavelength range of a LIDAR system due to luminescence. The detector unit is situated on the light outcoupling surface of the optical waveguide for the detection of at least a portion of the re-emitted light.
