A method for evaluating image data of a patient showing a target region to be treated with an embolizing agent includes providing a three-dimensional time-resolved image data set of a vascular system portion of the patient. A structural parameter that describes a geometry of at least the vascular system portion and/or a basic information item including dynamic parameters that describe hemodynamics in the vascular system portion is established from the image data set by an analysis algorithm. An embolization information item describing a plurality of embolizing agents that are to be used is provided. An actuation information item describing a suitable composition of the plurality of embolizing agents, for an intervention facility used for carrying out the treatment is established by an establishing algorithm that uses the basic information item and the embolization information item, and the actuation information item is provided to the intervention facility.

A method for providing at least one procedure parameter includes acquiring at least one intraprocedural projection map that maps a hollow organ of an examination object with at least one medical object positioned in the hollow organ. A trained function is applied to the at least one intraprocedural projection map as input data. At least one parameter of the trained function is adjusted based on a simulation of a virtual positioning of at least one medical training object in a training hollow organ and of hemodynamics in the training hollow organ that are influenced by the at least one medical training object. The at least one procedure parameter is provided as output data of the trained function. The at least one procedure parameter includes a movement specification for the at least one medical object.

A method for providing a comparison dataset is disclosed. The method includes providing a time-resolved first dataset that maps a first contrast medium flow in a region of interest of an examination object in a first period of time; providing a time-resolved second dataset that maps a second contrast medium flow in the region of interest in a second period of time after the first period of time; spatially registering the first and second datasets; identifying a mapping of at least one vessel section of the region of interest in the first and second datasets; temporally registering the first and second datasets; identifying a difference between the first and second contrast medium flows by a comparison of the registered first and second datasets; and providing the comparison dataset based on the registered first and second datasets, wherein the comparison dataset has at least one parameter characterizing the difference.

A computer-implemented method for determining spatially resolved radiation exposure information for a patient during an examination by an imaging X-ray device includes: determining preliminary dose information, when a compensating filter is used that is arranged between the patient and the X-ray tube unit in the X-ray field and causes an inhomogeneous dose distribution in the plane perpendicular to a central ray of the X-ray field; calculating dose distribution information using the preliminary dose information, which specifies at least the dose distribution of the X-ray dose acting on the patient in the portion of the X-ray field covered by the compensating filter, by a filter model that uses at least one filter parameter specifying the compensating filter and its arrangement in the X-ray field; and determining the patient entrance dose information using the dose distribution information.

In accordance with a method for dose estimation for the irradiation of an object, a model with a total number of spatial elements is provided on a memory element. For each spatial element, the model specifies a material composition of the object. A neighborhood material composition is determined for a neighborhood of spatial elements depending on the model by a computing unit. A radiation dose for the neighborhood with regard to an ionizing radiation is determined with aid of a simulation depending on the neighborhood material composition. A dose distribution for the object with regard to the ionizing radiation is determined based on the radiation dose for the neighborhood.

Dose estimation for the irradiation of an object

In an X-ray imaging method, a first time length that corresponds to a time length for a contrast agent to flow from a defined contrast-agent injection location to a defined proximal location of a hollow organ, and a second time length that corresponds to a time length for a contrast agent to flow from the proximal location to a defined distal location of the hollow organ are obtained. During a first acquisition phase, a first sequence of projection images is produced. Each projection image at least partially represents the hollow organ under a different respectively defined projection direction. The first acquisition phase begins the first time length after an injection start time for injecting the contrast agent, and a duration of the first acquisition phase equals the second time length. A time-resolved three-dimensional reconstruction of the hollow organ is produced based on the projection images in the first sequence.

X-ray imaging method, X-ray imaging system, and computer program product

Angiographic recordings are to be made more informative. To this end, a method for spatiotemporal fusion of time-resolved angiographic data sets is proposed. Respective 4D reconstructions are obtained from angiographic 3D data sets acquired from contrast agents administered at different sites. In both 4D reconstructions, a common vascular region is identified. For each contrast agent bolus, the corresponding time point or time course in the common vascular region is determined. Finally, the two 4D reconstructions are synchronized and fused.

Spatiotemporal fusion of time-resolved angiographic data sets

A computer-implemented method and system for providing a trained artificial intelligence determination algorithm for correcting x-ray image data with regard to noise effects, for example for scattered radiation correction of the x-ray image data. The determination algorithm, from input data comprising a recorded image dataset, determines a noise effect dataset describing the noise effects to be used for correction of the x-ray image dataset. A statistical physics model parameterized by model parameters is used to describe the noise effects. The model parameters are able to be determined at least in part using the determination algorithm including receiving of training datasets that include x-ray image sub datasets with assigned, known noise effect sub datasets and/or with at least one assigned, noise-free reference image sub dataset, training the determination algorithm using the training datasets, and providing the trained determination algorithm.

Computer-implemented method, computer program, systems and x-ray facility for correction of x-ray image data with regard to noise effects

A computer-implemented method for providing a vascular image data record includes receiving a plurality of projection-X-ray images recorded in temporal succession. The plurality of projection-X-ray images at least partially map a common examination region of an examination object. The plurality of projection-X-ray images map a temporal change in the examination region of the examination object. A change image data record is determined in each case based on at least one region of interest of the plurality of projection-X-ray images. The at least one region of interest includes a plurality of image points. The change image data record in each case includes a time-intensity curve for each of the image points. The vascular image data record is generated based on the change image data record, and the vascular image data record is provided.

Providing a vascular image data record

A method is for determining a three-dimensional image dataset. In an embodiment, the method includes a first X-ray dataset of the examination volume being received, the first X-ray dataset including a two-dimensional first X-ray projection of the examination volume with respect to a first projection direction; and a second X-ray dataset of the examination volume being received, the second X-ray dataset including a second two-dimensional X-ray projection of the examination volume with respect to a second projection direction. Furthermore, a first three-dimensional image dataset of the examination volume is determined based on the two-dimensional first X-ray projection and the two-dimensional second X-ray projection. An effect of overlaps of vessels with respect to the first projection direction or the second projection direction can be reduced as a result of determining the first three-dimensional image dataset based on the first X-ray dataset and the second X-ray dataset.

A method is provided for adapting an image impression of an image, in particular of an image acquired in the context of medical imaging. The method includes: providing an image or input data from which the image is acquired; specifying a respective ideal image impression class for the image and/or for at least one image segment of the image specified directly or by specifying at least one segment type, wherein a connection between the image data in the image and/or in the respective image segment and an assigned image impression class is specified by a classification algorithm; and modifying the image or the input data by a modification algorithm, in order to adapt the image impression class that has been assigned to the resulting modified image data pertaining to the image or pertaining to the respective image segment to match the respective ideal image impression class, wherein at least one modification parameter of the modification algorithm is or becomes specified as a function of the classification algorithm.

A solution for determination of a three-dimensional difference image dataset of an examination volume. Here two-dimensional real image datasets relating to the examination volume are received via an interface, each of the two-dimensional real image datasets including a two-dimensional x-ray projection of the examination volume in relation to a projection direction. Furthermore, the first difference image dataset is determined based on the two-dimensional real image datasets and based on a first trained function via a processing unit. Here the first difference image dataset is at least two-dimensional, in particular at least three-dimensional, in particular the first difference image dataset is three-dimensional or four-dimensional. The determination of the first difference image dataset based on the two-dimensional real image datasets and based on a trained function enables mask recordings of the examination volume to be dispensed with, and thus the x-ray load of the examination volume to be reduced.
