The invention relates to a method and telecommunications node for controlling an attach state of a user equipment in an attach control node of a telecommunications system further comprising a subscriber database containing subscription data of the user equipment. The method comprises receiving authentication data in the attach control node if an authentication step is required. Following the authentication step, if any, receiving in a first transfer stage a first set of subscription data from the subscriber database and storing the first set of subscription data in the attach control node, wherein the first set of subscription data is insufficient for enabling establishing a communication session between the user equipment and the telecommunications system. If establishing a communication session is required between the user equipment and the telecommunications network, receiving in a second transfer stage following the first transfer stage a second set of subscription data from the subscriber database in the attach control node, and storing the second set of subscription data in the attach control node, wherein the combination of the first set of subscription data and the second set of subscription data is sufficient for enabling establishing a communication session between the user equipment and the telecommunications network.

Method and telecommunications node for controlling an attach state of a user equipment

The invention relates to a method for information transmission in a machine-to-machine telecommunications network and a machine-to-machine telecommunications network. The telecommunications network supports information transmission between a server and a plurality of communication terminals. A common group identifier is assigned to a group containing at least some of the plurality of communication terminals. An information message is transmitted to the plurality of communication terminals to which the common group identifier has been assigned. The in-formation message contains the common group identifier.

Information transmission in a machine-to-machine telecommunications network

One aspect of the disclosure relates to a method for handling a service request from a requesting entity in a telecommunications network. A first service request for a particular service is received from the requesting entity. A sequence identifier is assigned to the requesting entity from which the first service request is received. The first service request is rejected by sending a reject message to the requesting entity and the assigned sequence identifier is also communicated to the requesting entity. At some later time, the sequence identifier is transmitted (e.g. broadcasted) in the telecommunications network in order. A second service request for the particular service is then received from the requesting entity and the serving entity now allows the request for the service.

Method and system for handling service requests in a telecommunications network

The telecommunications network supports information transmission between a server and a plurality of communication terminals. A common group identifier is assigned to a group containing at least some of the plurality of communication terminals. An information message is transmitted to the plurality of communication terminals to which the common group identifier has been assigned. The information message contains the common group identifier.

The invention relates to a method for congestion control in a telecommunications network. The telecommunications network supports one or more active data sessions between a server and at least a first and second communication terminal by providing at least a first and a second bearer for these terminals. The at least first and second communication terminal are assigned to a group for which a common group identifier is or has been stored. Further, a first individual congestion parameter for the first bearer and a second individual congestion parameter for the second bearer of the first and second communication terminal are or have been stored. A group load indicator is defined for the group of terminals corresponding to the common group identifier. The group load indicator is monitored and compared with a group load condition for the group of the at least first and second communication terminals corresponding to the common group identifier. Congestion is controlled by adjusting at least one of the first individual congestion parameter of the first bearer and the second individual congestion parameter of the second bearer when said group load indicator satisfies the group load condition.
