The present invention is directed to a depilatory composition which comprises a depilatory active and at least one material which alters the thermal properties of the composition by either having a higher heat of fusion or a lower thermal conductivity than the bulk.

Depilatory compositions

The present application is directed to a formulation suitable for use as a pre-use depilatory ancillary wherein said formulation comprises a hydrophobic film-forming polymer and a suitable solvent. The application is further directed to depilatory combinations which comprise a pre-use formulation and a depilatory formulation.

Depilatory formulations and methods of using same

Depilatory compositions comprising a depilatory agent, fatty alcohol and VP/hexadecene copolymer provide improved resistance to rinsing of the compositions from the skin. The compositions provide for a method-of depilation in wet conditions using a tool to apply and remove the compositions.

Composition, process for preparation and method of use

A depilatory cream composition comprising &#x2022;a depilatory active; and, &#x2022;a conditioning complex; wherein the conditioning complex comprises: &#x2022;one or more of: a glycol carboxylate, a dialkyl ether of formula R&#x2014;O&#x2014;Rwherein Rand R, independently of one another, represent linear or branched alkyl and/or alkenyl groups having from 6 to 28 carbon atoms; and, an aliphatic alkyl mono-alcohol having at least 12 carbon atoms in the alkyl chain; &#x2022;a silicone or an optionally branched alkane containing at least 12 carbon atoms; &#x2022;an ethoxylated fatty alcohol and/or ethoxylated fatty ester with an HLB value of 13 or above; and, &#x2022;a conditioning agent &#x2022;water.

Depilatory cream composition

A depilatory cream composition comprising, a depilatory active, an emollient selected from at least one of mineral oil, silicone oil and emollient esters, and a silicone wax, a talc and/or polyamide resin.
