An expandable and collapsible structure comprising at least two first members and a second member. Each first member includes two plates rotatably connected at an edge of each of the two plates. One of the two plates of each of the first members is adapted to be slidably coupled with the second member. When the two plates of each of the pair of first members are disposed in a non-parallel configuration, the structure is disposed in an expanded state and when the two plates of each of the first members are disposed in a parallel configuration, the structure is disposed in a collapsed state.

A method of determining the configuration of a plurality of resources in an image processing apparatus by running turn around tests to determine the interconnection of the resources and comparing the interconnection to a reference interconnection indicator stored in memory. The difference of interconnections between the reference indicator and the determined interconnections is then displayed to an operator for confirmation. An indication of the new configuration, if confirmed, is then loaded into memory and the machine is set up based upon the new configuration.

Customer product installation/configuration

A method for processing a job, including image data and a set of attributes, in a document processing system is provided. Each attribute is corresponded with either a default value or a user set value. The document processing system further includes a user interface at which a set of default values are settable, in response to user input, to create a set of user set values, and a memory for storing at least a part of the image data of the job wherein the at least part of the image data of the job is less than all of the image data of the job. The method includes: (a) storing the at least part of the image data in the memory; (b) in response to user input, respectively changing one or more values of the set of user set values to one or more values of the set of default values; and (c) in response to the changing in (b), deleting the at least part of the image data in the memory when a selected condition is met.

Memory management system for a printing system

A method for altering attribute values in a printing system with a user interface having a display screen is provided. A first user dialog having a first set of attribute values and a second user dialog having a second set of attribute values are selectively displayable on the display screen; while the first set of attribute values is alterable from a first user settable configuration to a first default configuration and the second set of attribute values is alterable from a second user settable configuration to a second default configuration. The user interface further includes a user activatable area for altering the attribute values and the method includes the steps of: (a) activating the user activatable area a first time to alter the first set of attribute values from the first user settable configuration to the first default configuration when the first set of attribute values is disposed in the first user settable configuration; and (b) activating the user activatable area a second time to alter the second set of attribute values from the second user settable configuration to the second default configuration when both the second set of attributes is in the second user settable configuration and selected user information is provided to the user interface.
