A drive component comprising a first rotation part and a second rotation part arranged to rotate together around a common central axis with respect to each other around that central axis. The drive component further comprises a rotation limiter operative between the two rotation parts, which limits rotation between them. The rotation limiter is so arranged that when the first rotation part is driven to rotation, the first rotation part after traversing a free angular stroke carries the second rotation part in a mutual angular position determined by the rotation limiter, i.e. the carry-along angle, along in rotation. The rotation limiter comprises an indexer energized by rotation of the first and/or second rotation part, so that in successive driving cycles on the drive component the carry-along angle is indexed and the rotation parts in successive driving cycles differ in mutual angular position at carry-along.

The invention relates to adjusting means for adjusting the position of a first part, in particular a viewing means holder part for a viewing means, such as a mirror or a camera for example, relative to a second part, in particular a base part, comprising at least one actuator, via which the first part can be moved, in particular pivoted, relative to the second part. The actuator has at least one first toothed ring segment and at least one second toothed ring segment, wherein the first toothed ring segment is force-coupled to at least one first actuator—in particular, a position detector—and the second toothed ring segment is force-coupled to at least one second actuator—in particular, an actuating drive. The disclosure relates to an adjustment device for adjusting an orientation of an external vision element of a vehicle about a first pivot axis and a second pivot axis. The adjustment device comprises a base for coupling to a vehicle; a frame pivotably coupled to the base about a first pivot axis and a second pivot axis; and a drive unit for driving the frame pivotally about the first pivot axis and the second pivot axis. The drive unit comprises a first electromotor connected to a first driven element for driving the frame in rotation about the first pivot axis, and a second electromotor connected to a second driven element for driving the frame in rotation about the second pivot axis. The second electromotor has a lower maximum power consumption compared to a maximum power consumption of the first electromotor.

Adjustment device for an external vision unit of a vehicle

The present invention relates to a vision adjustment mechanism, comprising a first part and a second part pivotably arranged thereto. The first part has a trough, into which a head part at least partially complementary to said trough can be inserted, forming at least one clamping gap between the trough and the head part. The second part has at least one clamping part, which is formed to be complementary to the clamping gap and can be arranged in the latter such that the second part is fixed to the first part to be pivotable thereto. The fixing means is formed in such a way that it biases the head part in the direction towards the first part for fixing the two parts, and it fixes the second part against rotation relative to the first part. The invention also relates to a mirror unit having such a vision adjustment mechanism.
