Updating a presence status of a user of a communication terminal for a set of at least one communication application. The terminal is connected to a communication network via a network interface. The method includes: detecting in the terminal a functional event a consequence of which is a future deactivation of the network interface; sending, by the terminal to a 'status update server' an event notification of the deactivation event, which includes an identifier of the user; following receipt of the event notification by the server, determining from the identifier of the user, for each of the communication applications, a specific presence status corresponding to the detected event; sending by the server, to each network platform respectively hosting at least one of the communication applications, a request to update a current presence status of the user for the communication application, with the specific presence status for the communication application.

Method for updating a presence status of a user of a communication terminal for a set of communication applications

For the purpose of managing a voice communication service in a communication network between a first and at least a second communication terminal, the first and second communication terminals have respective communication identifiers in the communication network. The first and second communication identifiers are associated, at least at a server, with first and second social network identifiers of a social network. A communication request is received, indicating at least the first and second social network identifiers; subsequently, the second communication identifier is identified from the second social network identifier received in the communication request; and, finally, an application notification is transmitted to the second communication terminal on the basis of the second communication identifier. The application notification indicates the first social network identifier.

Voice communication service from a social network

A method is provided for posting a message originating from a social network user, called posting user, addressed to one or more users of a social network, called addressee users. The message is posted in a mailbox associated with a telephone line associated with a social network user identifier, assigned in the social network to the addressee user, dispatched with the message posting request. The addressee user receives a notification of the posting of the message, comprising a social network user identifier assigned to the posting user. The message addressee user consults the message from the mailbox. During the consultation of the message, social network user identifier assigned to the posting user is retrieved to the addressee user. A response message can be posted for each message posted or consulted.
