The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition and in particular a dermal patch or wound dressing comprising an acid-hydrolyzing oligomer and/or polymer and an acid-activated prodrug such that the active principle in the pharmaceutical composition or in the dermal patch or wound dressing is formed from the prodrug under the effect of acid. The invention further relates to a corresponding method for releasing active principles from a pharmaceutical composition.

The present invention relates to a medical bathing equipment for the manufacture and use of a bathing solution containing an active substance and in particular a bathing solution containing NO. The invention also relates to a bathing equipment based on a multi-stage method for generating NO and the bathing equipment in its use for the treatment of diseases, in particular of diabetically caused circulatory disorders and wounds of the lower extremities.

An NO-accumulation apparatus, method and use, comprising: a container () defining a cavity for accommodating a liquid (), an inlet () for feeding the liquid into the container () and an outlet () for delivering the liquid from the container () to a bath unit; an NO-gas dissolving unit () for dissolving gaseous NO in the liquid () to produce an NO-containing liquid, wherein the NO-gas dissolving unit () is arranged in the container () and/or forms a part of the container (); and an NO-gas port () in fluid communication with the NO-gas dissolving unit (), wherein the NO-gas port () is adapted for coupling, particularly for releasably coupling, with an NO-gas supply, whereby the apparatus further comprises means for decoupling the inflow of NO to the liquid () within the container from the removal of the NO-containing liquid (NO-decoupling means), so that the removal of the NO-containing liquid is inhibited, when the NO is flowing into the liquid, and also the NO inflow is inhibited when the NO-containing liquid is removed from the container ().
