Described is a wound pad having a liquid retaining layer, and a distributing layer, wherein the liquid retaining layer, or the distributing layer, or both the liquid retaining layer and the distributing layer includes fibers and being provided with at least a first and a second discrete group of incisions, wherein the first and second discrete groups of incisions each includes a first incision extending from a starting point to a respective end point, and wherein the first incision extends through the liquid retaining layer, or the distributing layer, or both the liquid retaining layer and the distributing layer.

Disclosed is a wound pad with fibers and being provided with at least a first and a second discrete group of incisions, wherein each one of the discrete groups of incisions has at least a first incision, a second incision, and a third incision all extending from a common starting point to a respective end point, wherein each respective end point is spaced from the other end points.

The present invention relates to a wound pad comprising fibers and being provided with at least a first and a second discrete group of incisions, wherein each one of said discrete groups of incisions comprises at least a first and a second incision, wherein said first and said second incision extend from a common starting point to a respective end point, wherein the end point of said first incision is spaced from the end point of said second incision, wherein the common starting point of said first group of incisions is provided on a first side of an imaginary line extending in the machine direction of said fibrous wound pad, and the common starting point of said second group of incisions is provided on a second side of said imaginary line, and wherein a first incision of said first group of incisions and a second incision of said second group of incisions each cross said imaginary line. A wound dressing comprises a wound pad and a backing layer on a non-wound facing side of the backing layer. At least a portion of a sealing ring is provided within 5 mm of and continuously along the contour of the wound pad. A negative pressure wound treatment system comprising such a wound dressing is also disclosed.

Wound dressings

A stiffening layer for facilitating application of a plastic film to skin, the plastic film being a component in a wound dressing or other medical device and having the stiffening layer removably attached to one side thereof, at least a part of the other side of the film being provided with a layer of self-adhering adhesive. The stiffening layer is made of a stretchable material having a thickness of between 0.5-10 mm. The stiffening layer covers the whole area of the film and is divided into two or more portions by cutting line or lines.

Stiffening layer for facilitating application of a plastic film to skin

Provided is a film dressing that includes a thin plastic film coated with an adhesive, and a carrier layer applied on the plastic film on a side opposite to the adhesive coating. The adhesive coating has a softness of 10-22 mm and a weight per unit area of 50 g/mor more.

Sealing film dressing

Provided is a body attachment wafer for attaching an ostomy device to a wearer. The body attachment wafer includes a plastic film having an opening therein, a layer of adhesive coated onto one side of the plastic film, and a stiffening layer releasably attached to the plastic film on the side thereof opposite to the side coated with adhesive. The layer of adhesive comprises a region surrounding the opening in the plastic film in which the thickness of the layer of adhesive is decreasing in a direction towards the circumference of the plastic film, the layer of adhesive having its largest thickness adjacent to the opening in the plastic film. The adhesive consists of a silicone gel adhesive having a softness exceeding 8 mm.

Body attachment wafer for an ostomy device

The present invention relates to a dressing () for protecting the skin around objects projecting out from the skin, the dressing including a first liquid impermeable film layer () coated with a skin friendly adhesive () on the lower side thereof, i.e. the side intended to adhere to the skin when the dressing is used. According to the invention a body () of absorbent material is enclosed between the first film layer () and a second liquid impermeable film layer (), the second film layer being affixed to the first film layer in parts extending beyond the periphery of the body of absorbent material, and the dressing includes an element () for facilitating passing of an object projecting out from the skin through the dressing.

Dressing for protecting the skin around objects projecting out therefrom

A component is suitable for protecting skin around an opening in the skin or around a stoma. The component can be formed from a carrier (') that is enclosed between layers of soft and skin-compatible adhesive (&#x2032;), and the adhesive has a softness of 8-22 mm. The adherence of the adhesive to dry skin can be 0.2-3 N/25 mm.

Component for forming a seal around an opening in the skin

An article () of a medical and technical nature intended to be affixed to skin, or a component for affixing a medical article or part thereof to skin, which article or component comprises a layer of carrier material () that has a layer () of a soft skin-friendly adhesive on one side, and a protection layer () that protects the adhesive layer before use of the article or component and is affixed to the adhesive layer in such a way that it is releasable. According to the invention, the protection layer () is provided with a pattern of projections () on the side facing towards the adhesive layer () and a reinforcing layer () is arranged on the layer of carrier material (), on the opposite side to the side that has the layer of soft skin-friendly adhesive, in such a way that it can be removed.

The present invention relates to a film dressing comprising a thin plastic film () coated with an adhesive (). In accordance with the invention, the adhesive () has a softness of 10-22 mm, and the adhesive coating has a weight per unit area of 50 g/mor more.

The present invention relates to a component () making it easier to fasten a stoma bandage () to skin. According to the invention, the component comprises a plastic film () coated with a layer () of a soft and skin-compatible silicone elastomer which adheres to skin. The component also has a through-opening () intended to be applied around a stoma.
