A disposable pant-type absorbent article, such as a pant diaper, a sanitary pant or incontinence pant is described. The disposable pant-type absorbent article has a longitudinal direction (Y) and a transverse direction (X). The disposable pant-type absorbent article is adapted for a male user. A method for manufacturing such a disposable pant-type absorbent article is also described.

Disposable pant-type absorbent article

A disposable pant-type absorbent article includes a chassis and an absorbent body. The chassis has a front portion and a back portion and each of the front and back portions has a waist edge, a pair of leg edges and a pair of side edges. The front and back portions are joined to each other at opposite side edges to at least partly define a waist-opening and a pair of leg-openings. The absorbent body is located mainly in a crotch portion of the article. An elastic leg feature is fastened to the chassis at least partly along leg edges. The elastic leg feature extends from the associated side edge towards a centre line in the longitudinal direction of the article. The disclosure also relates to a corresponding method of manufacturing a pant-type absorbent article, as well as an array of gender-specific, disposable, absorbent articles.

Disposable pant-type absorbent article with a leg cuff

An absorbent article having a longitudinal direction, a transverse direction and a thickness direction and comprising a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core is disclosed. The article has, in the longitudinal direction, a front portion, a back portion, and a crotch portion located between the front and rear portions. The front and back portions define a waist edge and a leg edge, and the crotch portion defines two crotch edges. A first elastic element extends along the waist edge, a second elastic element extends along the leg edge and a third and a fourth elastic element each extend along one of the crotch edges. The topsheet or the bottomsheet or another sheet is folded along the waist edge, leg edge and crotch edges so as to enclose at least a part of each corresponding elastic element.

Absorbent article and method for manufacturing an absorbent article

An array of gender-specific disposable absorbent articles is provided. The array has a first disposable absorbent article adapted to be worn by males and a second disposable article adapted to be worn by females. Both articles have in their longitudinal direction, a front portion, a back portion and a crotch portion between the front portion and the back portion. The first article has a first elastic component configured for providing fit and comfort to a male user. The second article has a second elastic component configured for providing fit and comfort to a female user. The first and the second elastic components each have a plurality of elastic elements extending at least partly along each respective article. The first and second elastic components differ from each other in at least the positioning or the elastic strength of the respective elastic elements. A method for manufacturing the array is also provided.

Array of gender-specific absorbent articles

An array of disposable pant-type gender-specific absorbent articles adapted for female and male users is described. The array has a first subarray of absorbent articles including a first size absorbent article adapted for female users and a second size absorbent article adapted for female users. The second size is larger than the first size. The array also has a second subarray of absorbent articles including a third size absorbent article for male users and a fourth size absorbent article adapted for male users. The fourth size is larger than the third size. An array of packages of the array of disposable pant-type gender-specific absorbent articles is also described.
