A protective cover for an electronic device comprising a connection portion configured to be attached to the electronic device to secure the protective cover to the electronic device; a stylus storage portion adjacent to the connection portion; and a flap portion connected to the stylus storage portion by a flexible hinge portion. The connection portion includes a plurality of magnets in a predetermined arrangement, wherein the connection portion is configured to be magnetically coupled to the electronic device when the protective cover is attached to the electronic device. The predetermined arrangement is configured to align with another plurality of magnets embedded in a honeycomb structure of the electronic device such that each of the another plurality of magnets is disposed in a respective honeycomb of the honeycomb structure.

Protective cover for an electronic reading device

An electronic reading device includes a mid-frame structure such that the mid-frame structure can include a reverse draft. A reverse draft corresponds to a back of the electronic reading device being a predetermined amount wider than a front of the electronic reading device. Additionally, a co-molded mid-frame stiffener provides a predetermined rigidity of the electronic reading device. The electronic reading device also includes a display integrated with the front of the mid-frame structure, wherein a space between the display and the mid-frame structure includes one or more electronic reading device components. Similarly, a back cover is integrated with the back of the mid-frame structure, wherein a space between the back cover and the mid-frame structure includes additional electronic reading device components.

Protective case for an electronic device

An electronic reading device, including: a housing, wherein exterior surfaces of the housing include a first and second main surface, a first edge, a second edge, a third edge, and a fourth edge, and each of the edges is located in between the first and second main surface, and the third edge is parallel to the fourth edge, and the first edge is located at an opposite side of the housing than the second edge. The first main surface includes a display, and the second main surface is an opposing surface to the first main surface. The housing is asymmetrical as it includes an extended housing portion that is spaced away from one edge of the display, a thickness of the housing between the first and second main surface increases from the second edge to the first edge, and the housing has an upward bend at the extended housing portion.

Electronic reading device with a mid-frame structure

A protective case, including: a back cover and a front cover connected by a hinge. The front cover is divided into a five stiffener sections that are defined by four creases. The first and second stiffener sections are in a shape of a triangle. The second stiffener section is smaller in area than the first stiffener section. The third stiffener section is bordered by the second and third crease. The fourth stiffener section and the fifth stiffener section form a flap at an end of the front cover that is opposite the hinge, and the fourth stiffener section and the fifth stiffener section are the same size, and are separated by the fourth crease. An outer side of the front cover has a gap that is located between an angled edge of the fourth stiffener section and an angled edge of the fifth stiffener section.

Folding protective cover for an electronic device

A protective case, including: a back cover configured to secure an electronic reading device; and a front cover connected to the back cover by a hinge. The front cover is divided into a plurality of separate stiffener sections that are defined by a plurality of creases, and the plurality or creases are configured to allow movement of the plurality of stiffener sections so that the protective case can be folded into a stand.

A protective case for an electronic reading device includes a back cover, wherein the back cover is configured to secure the electronic reading device. The back cover includes a plurality of metal plates, each of the plurality of metal plates disposed in a predetermined location. The protective case also includes a front cover, wherein the front cover includes a plurality of magnets, each of the plurality of magnets being disposed in a predetermined location and one or more of the plurality of magnets being positioned based on the location of one or more corresponding metal plates. The front cover also includes a Hall sensor magnet positioned on top of a magnet shielding, wherein the Hall sensor magnet is positioned between the magnet shielding and the back cover of the protective case when the protective case is in a closed position.

A housing accessory convertible to a stand for a mobile computing device. The housing accessory includes a foldable cover member that has an upper portion, a flap portion, and a single folding hinge between the two portions and extending diagonally across the foldable cover. The flap portion can be rotated about the single holding hinge from a position coplanar with the upper portion to a folded position. Thereby the foldable cover is converted into a display stand operable to retain the mobile computing device in an inclined angle on a supporting surface.
