Disposable hygiene article having a liquid-permeable topsheet, a liquid-impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core. The article is releasably attached to a garment and has liquid side barriers arranged substantially along longitudinal edges of the absorbent core. The article has a front portion, oriented upwards during use, having a tapering shape with a maximum width of the front portion, measured between first left and right edge points, and a minimum width, measured between second left and right edge points. A first imaginary connection line connects the first right edge point to the second right edge point and a second imaginary connection line connects the first left edge point to the second left edge point. The first and second imaginary connection lines extend in an angle ranging between 60° and 90° with the transverse direction T and have a length of at least 15% of the full length of the article.

Disposable hygiene article

Disposable hygiene article comprising a liquid-permeable topsheet, a liquid-impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core, flexible side flaps arranged on opposite sides of the absorbent core for attaching the article to a garment, and liquid side barriers arranged substantially along longitudinal edges of the absorbent core. The flexible side flaps each comprise at least a side layer which is secured to the topsheet by means of a seam, the seam partitioning the side layer in a first part and a second part with the first part extending from the seam towards the longitudinal centre axis and the second part extending from the seam away from said longitudinal centre axis. The first parts form the liquid side barriers.

An absorbent hygienic article for absorbing body fluids, the article including a liquid absorbent top layer and a backing layer, the top layer and the backing layer being made from roll materials and being joined together. The top layer is constituted by a cellulosic fibrous web, the fibres in the cellulosic fibrous web being constituted by a mixture of cellulose fibres, the mixture including regenerated cellulose fibres or natural cellulose staple fibres and cellulose pulp fibres, the cellulosic fibrous web being a foam-formed, hydroentangled cellulosic fibrous web.

Absorbent hygienic article for absorbing body fluids

An absorbent hygienic article for absorbing body fluids, the article including a liquid permeable topsheet, a backing layer and an absorbent core arranged between the topsheet and the backing layer, the topsheet and the backing layer being made from roll materials. The topsheet or an absorbent layer in the absorbent core is constituted by a cellulosic fibrous web, the fibres in the cellulosic fibrous web being constituted by a mixture of cellulose fibres including regenerated cellulose fibres or natural cellulose staple fibres and cellulose pulp fibres, the cellulosic fibrous web being a foam-formed, hydroentangled fibrous web.

A disposable hygiene article having an absorbent core with a first region which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. The absorbent core comprises a high-density first region and a low density second region. The absorbent core in the crotch region has first and second rear compression lines. The compression lines mutually diverge in a direction towards the core front edge. Each line has a diverging angle (&#x3b1;; &#x3b1;) of from 15-60&#xb0; with respect to a centre line (A). The second region has an average density which is at least 20% lower than the average density of the first region.

Disposable hygiene article with improved fit

The present invention relates to a disposable hygiene article having a core with a first area which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. Further, the absorbent core in the crotch portion has at least one front compression line forming an essentially upside down turned V comprising a first leg, a second leg and a common front tip with a V-shaped second compression line in the front portion having a third leg and a fourth leg. Each of the legs extends and diverges at a mutual angle (&#x3b1;) of from 30-120&#xb0; in the respective mirror-imaged portions (I) and (II). The common front tip is located in contact with or at a distance from an imaginary transverse line indicating the narrowest width M.

A disposable hygiene article having an absorbent core with a first area having its narrowest width in the transverse direction in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. The absorbent core has a high-density region and a low density region. The absorbent core has a compression line forming an essentially upside down turned V such that the front tip of the V is located on the centre line and the legs of the V diverge towards the core rear edge at a mutual angle (&#x3b1;) of from 30-120&#xb0;. The low density region has an average density which is at least 20%, preferably at least 30% and most preferably at least 50% lower than the average density of the high density region. Also disclosed is a method of making the article.

Sanitary article

An absorbent core for use in an absorbent product, such as a sanitary napkin, a diaper, an incontinence protection or the like. The core after compression has a material density (based on the total content of the core) of at least 200 kg/m, preferably at least 230 kg/m, measured at a pressure of 0.5 kPa. The absorbent core has been formed in-line as a discrete or continuous core and includes SAP-particles, where at least 99.5% of the SAP-particles have a size of maximally 600 &#x3bc;m. Hereby, problems with regard to clogging of SAP-particles to compression rollers during manufacturing are markedly reduced. Further, a method for manufacturing the absorbent core, as well as an absorbent product including the absorbent core is described.

Absorbent core comprising multiple sublayers

An absorbent article having front, crotch and rear portions and an absorbent core of unitary construction. The core has a first region with two legs extending in the longitudinal direction of the article through at least parts of the crotch portion towards endings in the rear portion. A maximum distance between facing sides of the legs in the transverse direction is, in the crotch portion, located at a position in the longitudinal direction corresponding to a crotch point. Furthermore, the facing sides of the legs converge backwards such that a distance between them is reduced from the maximum distance to a minimum distance in the rear portion. In addition, the core has a second region surrounding the first region and the average density of the core is lower in the second region than in the first region.

Absorbent article with improved fit and leakage security

An absorbent article comprises an absorbent body, a liquid-permeable covering layer arranged over a first surface on the absorbent body, and a liquid-permeable liquid-transfer layer arranged between the absorbent body and the liquid-permeable covering layer. The liquid-permeable covering layer comprises a nonwoven material with a pore volume distribution curve with a maximum at a pore radius greater than or equal to 50 &#x3bc;m and with a wetting angle of at least 120&#xb0;. The liquid-transfer layer comprises a fibrous layer with a pore volume distribution curve with a maximum at a pore radius of from 105 to 325 &#x3bc;m.
