Cosmetic compositions with improved transfer resistance

A pressed powder cosmetic product is disclosed. The product, useful as an eyeshadow, a blusher and the like, comprises a cream pressed powder composition and a frost pressed powder composition disposed adjacent to each other in the same pan. This unique arrangement is made possible by inclusion of surfactant coated fillers, surfactant coated colorants and a two component powder binder constituent.

An improved lipstick formulation is provided which is creamy, shiny and soft, which includes relatively small amounts of organic high staining dyes and yet maintains its structural integrity and has excellent color laydown and long wear properties and includes an acrylates copolymer powder together with conventional lipstick ingredients.

Lipstick formulation and method

A waterbase lipliner composition in the form of a liquid is provided which is especially adapted for use in conjunction with a wick-type nib pen which delivers lipliner through a capillary action, which lipliner composition includes a water-soluble organic pigment formed of FDA approved organic pigments, a water-soluble organic polymer film-former, which is a mixture of polyvinyl pyrrolidone and polyvinyl alcohol, and optionally one or more plasticizers, preservatives, moisturizers and/or humectants, and water as a carrier for the pigment. The lipliner composition of the invention has a viscosity of less than 750 cps and will pass through the wick of a wick-type nib pen by capillary action without clogging the wick.

Waterbase lipliner formulation

Cosmetic and skin treatment compositions are provided which include as emollients acetylated soy bean derived sterols, namely, acetylated sitosterol, acetylated campesterol, and/or acetylated stigmasterol. The above-acetylated sterols impart improved hand feel and barrier properties to the compositions, are naturally compatible with skin and have improved skin penetration properties over unesterified sterols.
