Aqueous based cleaning compositions simultaneously featuring low residue deposition, sanitization and/or disinfecting of treated hard surfaces, and good cleaning characteristics are provided. The compositions include the following ingredients: (a) a quaternary ammonium surfactant compound having germicidal properties; (b) a surfactant system which includes at least one amine oxide surfactant and at least one further surfactant selected from carboxylates and N-acyl amino acid surfactants; (c) a solvent system containing an alkylene glycol ether solvent further with a C -C alcohol; (d) an alkalizing agent; and (e) water.

Low residue aqueous hard surface cleaning and disinfecting compositions

There is provided an aqueous composition for cleaning fabrics and carpets and inhibiting the resoiling of fabric and carpets. The composition includes a peroxygen compound, a surfactant system, and a polymeric or copolymeric soil resist. The resulting compositions are particularly stable and non-turbid.

Stable compositions for removing stains from fabrics and carpets

Aqueous based cleaning compositions simultaneously featuring disinfecting, low residue deposit and good cleaning characteristics are provided. The compositions include one or more quaternary amine compounds as disinfecting active agents, an organic solvent system, one or more amine oxides, one or more nonionic alkylpolyglycosides, water and optionally further conventional additives including pH buffers, dyes, fragrances and the like.

Aqueous based cleaning compositions simultaneously featuring disinfecting, low residue deposit and good cleaning characteristics are provided. The compositions include one or more quaternary amine compounds as disinfecting active agents, an organic solvent system which includes glycol mono-n-butyl ether or a binary system including a glycol ether with a linear primary alcohol, and either one or more betaines, or one or more amine oxides as a surfactant constituent.

There is provided an aqueous composition for cleaning fabrics and carpets and inhibiting the resoiling of fabric and carpets. The composition includes a water miscible organic solvent, a peroxygen compound, a surfactant, a polymeric or copolymeric soil resist, and a fluorinated hydrocarbon soil resist. The solvent is selected from isopropanol, propylene glycol methyl ether, dipropylene glycol methyl ether, or mixtures of two or more thereof. Compositions formed with these solvents and both soil resists are particularly stable and non-turbid.

The inventive compositions are pourable aqueous bleach composition which contain abrasives, suitable for use in cleaning hard surfaces such as are found, for example, in lavatories and kitchens. The compositions of the invention show good shelf life, exhibit a high level of bleach stability and show good stain and soil removal, particularly from hard surfaces.
