Benzoic acid esters of a polyalkoxylated block copolymer, i.e. PLURONICS, exhibit enhanced characteristics that make these esters ideally suited for skin and hair care compositions. These esters demonstrate enhanced capabilities as foam boosters, emollients, conditioners, clarifiers, solubilizers, and carriers (dilutents). In addition, both oxybenzone and benzocaine can be solubilized by these esters.

Benzoate esters of polyalkoxylated block copolymers

Benzoic acid esters of an ethoxylated methyl glucosides and of a propoxylated methyl glucosides exhibit enhanced characteristics that make these esters ideally suited for skin and hair care compositions. These esters demonstrate enhanced capabilities as foam boosters, emollients, conditioners, clarifiers, solubilizers, and carriers (diluents). In addition, oxybenzone, benzocaine, ibuprofin and dihydroxyacetone (DHA) can be solubilized by these esters. These esters have the ability to solubilize both hydrophilic and hydrophobic materials such as DHA. The benzoate esters have lower surface tensions than the glucam polyol molecules from which they were derived.

An improved cushion padded, coaxially bendable and resilient and substantially diametrically rigid 'hair roller' device for use, especially by persons, in the 'hair roller or hair (do it yourself) art' whereby a person may sleep with and on the rollers dressed in their hair, and still substantially protect their scalp from, at least, becoming numb, dificient, generally unhealthy, and balding.
