The present disclosure relates to a user equipment (UE), which comprises a receiver, which in operation, receives power saving signals, PoSS, from a serving base station on which the UE is camping, processing circuitry, which, in operation, monitors the reception of PoSS to determine a UE behavior regarding processing of a physical downlink control channel, PDCCH, wherein the POSS comprises a behavior indication indicating for the UE to follow a first behavior or a second behavior, and wherein the POSS further comprises a configuration indication indicating at least one configuration parameter associated with the first or second behavior, and wherein the processing circuitry, in operation, determines to perform PDCCH monitoring in case the first behavior is indicated and to skip PDCCH monitoring in case the second behavior is indicated, and accordingly applies the at least one configuration parameter.

The processor indicates block locations within a Discovery Reference Signal ('DRS') transmission window for a plurality of candidate Synchronization Signal/Physical Broadcast Channel (“SS/PBCH”) blocks. The processor performs a Listen-Before-Talk (“LBT”) procedure for a plurality of DRS transmissions within a DRS transmission window and controls the transceiver to transmit—for a given spatial direction—a SS/PBCH block upon successful LBT for the given spatial direction.

One apparatus includes a transceiver that receives a configuration from a RAN for multiple sets of BFD reference signal (RS), multiple beam failure instance (BFI) counters, and an association of at least one BFD RS set and a corresponding BFI counter to one of a plurality of groups. The processor measures a signal strength on the BFD RS for each group and compares the measured signal strength with a BFD RS threshold value. The processor increments a BFI counter associated with a particular group if the measured signal strength is below a BFD RS threshold value and initiates random-access procedure if the BFI counter reaches a maximum value of beam failure for each group.

The method includes autonomously selecting a codebook configuration of the plurality of codebook configurations. A network-controlled repeater (NCR) may receive configuration information from a base station to configure one or more receive (Rx) beams and corresponding time-domain resources for potential reception from one or more user equipments (UEs). The NCR may monitor for reception of a physical uplink channel or signal from the one or more UEs on the configured one or more Rx beams on the corresponding time-domain resources and determine that the physical uplink channel or signal is not received for at least a threshold amount of time. Additionally, the NCR may determine to refrain from at least one of additional monitoring for reception of the physical uplink channel or signal from the one or more UEs or transmission of one or more synchronization signal block (SSBs) to the one or more UEs for a duration of time.

Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to artificial intelligence (AI) enabled beam management. A base station may notify a user equipment (UE) of an availability of AI-enabled beam management and provide configuration parameters for an AI algorithm. The UE may utilize the configuration parameters to configure an AI algorithm. The UE may process a first set of beams utilizing the configured AI algorithm to identify a second set of beams. The UE may notify the base station (and/or other network entity) of the second set of beams, and one or more beams of the second set of beams can be utilized for wireless communication between the UE and the base station and/or other network entity or UE.
