One apparatus in a mobile communication network includes a processor and a transceiver that receives a first indication of a configuration for Demodulation Reference Signal ('DM-RS'), where the DM-RS configuration includes a plurality of DM-RS configuration types. The transceiver also receives a second indication to autonomously switch among the plurality of DM-RS configuration types based on a configured subcarrier spacing value for a channel. The processor performs single channel estimation from multiple indicated antenna ports using the DM-RS configuration.

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for irregular resource element mapping. An apparatus () includes a transceiver () that is operable to communicate with a Radio Access Network ('RAN'). The apparatus () includes a processor () that receives (), via the transceiver (), a resource element mapping configuration comprising an indication of an irregular subcarrier spacing for a plurality of subcarriers for the UE. The resource element mapping configuration may be defined by the RAN based on a carrier frequency. The processor () applies () the indicated irregular subcarrier spacing to resource elements (“REs”) of the UE according to the resource element mapping configuration for communicating with the RAN.

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for repeater configuration for channel state information reference signal. An apparatus includes a transceiver that receives a first configuration from a base station of a mobile wireless communication network, the first configuration comprising channel state information reference signal ('CSI-RS') configuration information for amplifying and forwarding CSI-RS beams to a user equipment (“UE”) device from the repeater node. The transceiver receives a second configuration from the base station, the second configuration comprising configuration information for performing measurement and reporting of the CSI-RS beams. The transceiver receives repeater-specific CSI-RS to be forwarded to the UE device and transmits the repeater-specific CSI-RS to the UE device according to the first configuration.

Repeater configuration for channel state information reference signal

A communication system may include a base station (BS), user equipment (UE), and a set of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS's). The RIS's, the UE, and the BS may communicate using a control RAT and a data RAT. The BS may transmit downlink (DL) signals to the UE device via reflection off a DL RIS. The UE device may transmit uplink (UL) signals to the BS via reflection off a UL RIS. This may optimize wireless performance in situations where reflecting the UL and DL signals off the same RIS would limit performance under the current data RAT channel conditions. The BS and the UE device may use channel measurements of the control RAT at the RIS's to select the UL RIS and the DL RIS. This may significantly reduce overhead required to identify the UL and DL RIS's relative to scenarios where exhaustive beam training is used.

Communication via uplink and downlink reflective devices

The transceiver initiates a first channel occupancy ('CO') using at least one transmit panel in response to a successful Listen-Before-Talk procedure and transmits a directional transmission using a first transmit panel, the first transmit panel selected from the plurality of transmit panels. The processor determines whether the directional transmission was successfully received by a recipient and updates a first contention window size specific to the first transmit panel. The processor performs a subsequent Listen-Before-Talk procedure using the updated first contention window size prior to a subsequent directional transmission using the first transmit panel.

One apparatus includes a processor and a transceiver that is operable on unlicensed spectrum, where the transceiver includes a plurality of UE panels. The processor generates a first TB for a first UL channel resource. Here, the first TB contains control signaling or data. The processor performs a directional LBT procedure for a first panel associated with the first UL channel resource and transmits request information to a RAN node using the first UL channel resource in response to successful directional LBT. The processor receives feedback information from the RAN node in response to the request information and transmits the first TB using the first UL channel resource in response to receiving the feedback information.

The transceiver device comprises a transceiver, which, in operation, transmits a scheduling request for scheduling data over a physical uplink control channel, PUCCH; and circuitry, which, in operation, initiates a monitoring sleeping timer after the transceiver transmitted the scheduling request, wherein the transceiver, in operation, does not monitor a physical downlink control channel, PDCCH, while the monitoring sleeping timer is running, and starts monitoring the PDCCH for resource allocation for the scheduling data when the monitoring sleeping timer has expired.

One method includes receiving a configuration from a network device for a report including an indication of at least one subcarrier spacing value for transmitting a physical channel, receiving the physical channel, or a combination thereof. The method includes, in response to receiving the configuration, estimating the at least one subcarrier spacing value by calculating a Doppler spread, an average delay, a delay spread, a phase noise power, an inter carrier interference level, or some combination thereof.
