A method for making a multiply fibrous structure. The method comprising the steps of: depositing a slurry of pulp fibers onto a Fourdrinier wire running at a first velocity V; transferring the web from the Fourdrinier wire to at least a first molding member moving at a second velocity, V, slower than the first velocity, V. The molding member comprises a substantially continuous relatively low density network at least partially defining a plurality of relatively high density, irregularly shaped, discrete elements situated in an irregular pattern. The embryonic web is partially dried, adhered to a Yankee dryer surface, creped from Yankee dryer and reeled at a velocity, V, that is faster than that (V) of the Yankee dryer.

Fibrous structures

A papermaking belt. The papermaking belt has a reinforcing element comprising a surface and a plurality of irregularly shaped, discrete raised portions extending from portions of the surface of the reinforcing element. The discrete raised portions are situated in an irregular pattern, wherein each of the discrete raised portions has a major axis, A, and a minor axis, B, and wherein the length of the major axis, A, is greater than or equal to the length of the minor axis, B; and a substantially continuous deflection conduit defines at least some of the discrete raised portions.

Papermaking belt for making fibrous structures

The present invention relates to a paper tissue, and in particular to facial tissue, and disposable handkerchiefs. Claimed and described is a paper tissue comprising at least two plies, characterized in that the paper tissue has a physiological surface smoothness parameter of less than 700 microns, preferably from 650 microns to 50 microns, more preferably from 650 microns to 300 microns and in combination has a caliper per ply of more than 0.09 mm, preferably from 0.09 mm to 0.5 mm, more preferably from 0.1 mm to 0.2 mm. In one preferred embodiment a three-ply tissue with embossed middle ply is provided. Further is a related process claimed and described.
