The present invention relates to a process for producing a diffusion layer for protecting temperature-stressed components, in particular of turbomachines, against oxidation and corrosion. The process comprises application of at least one slip to a component surface on which the diffusion layer is to be produced, and drying and/or hardening of the at least one slip by a heat treatment at a first temperature and diffusion heat treatment at a second temperature. The slip comprises Al-containing powder, Si-containing powder and a binder and also a Cr-containing powder which does not comprise any hexavalent chromium. In addition, the invention provides a corresponding slip.

Slip and process for producing an oxidation- and corrosion-resistant diffusion layer

Disclosed is a process for producing an alloyed, in particular multiple-alloyed aluminide or chromide layer on a component by alitizing or chromizing. First a green compact layer () consisting of a binder () and metal particles () is deposited on the component () to be coated and then alitizing or chromizing is carried out, binder and metal particles being deposited on the component separately from one another, first the binder and then the metal particles. A turbine component produced by this process is also disclosed.

Aluminide or chromide coatings of cavities

A component such as a gas turbine engine component has an oxidation protective layer formed as a substrate surface region in a substrate of the component. The substrate has a nickel-based composition including nickel and an aluminum proportion of greater than 4.5 weight %. The surface region is formed by diffusion of at least platinum into the substrate surface region to provide an integrated platinum proportion of 5 to 40 weight percent over the integration depth range in the surface region.

Component, anti-oxidation coating for such a component and method of producing the same

A component having a platinum-aluminum substrate surface region which is formed in the area of the substrate surface of the component by diffusion of platinum and aluminum into the substrate surface and which contains platinum and aluminum as well as the constituents of the substrate composition. The integrated aluminum content and/or the integrated platinum content in the substrate area is less than 18 wt %.
