A field effect transistor (FET) with a source electrode and a drain electrode distanced apart from each other on a semi-conductor substrate, and a gate electrode consisting of a uniform layer of reduced graphene oxide encapsulated semiconductor nanoparticles (rGO-NPs), wherein the gate electrode is disposed between and contacts both the source and drain electrodes. Methods of making and assay methods using the FETs are also disclosed, including methods in which the rGO-NPs are functionalized with binding partners for biomarkers.

Graphene-encapsulated nanoparticle-based biosensor for the selective detection of biomarkers

This application discloses a nanotopography-mediated reverse uptake (NanoRU) platform useful for intracellular delivery of nucleic acids into mammalian cells, in particular stem cells, as well as methods of preparation and applications thereof. In particular, this system can be used to deliver small interfering ribonucleic acids (siRNAs) into neural stem cells and enhance neuronal differentiation of the stem cells.

Nanotopography-mediated reverse uptake platform for nucleic acid delivery and applications thereof

This application discloses ZnO film transistor-based immunosensors (ZnO-bioTFT), 2T biosensor arrays formed from two integrated ZnO-bioTFTs, 1T1R-based nonvolatile memory (NVM) arrays formed from ZnO-bioTFT (T) integrated with ZnO-based resistive switches (R), as well as integrated bioTFT (IBTFT) sensor systems formed from 2T biosensor arrays and 1T1R NVM arrays. Through biofunctionalization, these biosensors can perform immunosensing with high sensitivity and selectivity, and therefore have a wide range of applications, for example, in detecting target biomolecules or small molecules, and potential application in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
