The current document is directed to a resource-exchange system that facilitates resource exchange and sharing among computing facilities. The currently disclosed methods and systems employ efficient, distributed-search methods and subsystems within distributed computer systems that include large numbers of geographically distributed data centers to locate resource-provider computing facilities that match the resource needs of resource-consumer computing-facilities based on attribute values associated with the needed resources, the resource providers, and the resource consumers. The resource-exchange system organizes and tracks operations related to a resource exchange using a resource-exchange context. In one implementation, each resource-exchange context represents the stages of, and information related to, placement of one or more computational-resources-consuming entities on behalf of a resource consumer within a resource-provider computing facility and execution of the one or more computational-resources-consuming entities within the resource-provider computing facility.

Policy-based resource-exchange life-cycle in an automated resource-exchange system

A workflow construction system for constructing automation workflows that automate user specific processes. The workflow construction system may include a template library including workflow templates and pre-configured attributes. The workflow template can accelerate the design and construction of custom automation workflows. An orchestration layer included in the workflow construction system will also improve the performance of systems that execute the automation workflows by dynamically scaling the processing capacity, memory, and storage of servers and other systems hosting the model file instances of the automation workflows to ensure the available resources meet the demands of users completing processes using the automation workflows.

Methods and systems for building custom automation workflows to integrate multiple applications

The current document is directed a resource-exchange system that facilitates resource exchange and sharing among computing facilities. The currently disclosed methods and systems employ efficient, distributed-search-based auction methods and subsystems within distributed computer systems that include large numbers of geographically distributed data centers to locate resource-provider computing facilities that match the resource needs of resource-consumer computing facilities. Multiple security methods and subsystems are employed to prevent unauthorized access to resource-exchange-system services, to secure resource-exchange-system-participant data from unauthorized access, and to prevent hosted virtual machines and other hosted computational entities from interfering with operation of native virtual machines and other native computational entities within hosting resource-provider computing facilities.

Secure automated resource-exchange system

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for replicating data across deployments in a routing constrained environment. To replicate data, a processor may detect a modification that changes data for a source entity within a source environment hosting a source deployment of an application. The processor may then update a target environment hosting a target deployment of the application to mirror the modification within the source environment. To update the target environment, the processor may generate a mapping artifact that identifies the source entity having changed data and the target entity within the target environment receiving the changed data. The processor may then create a mapping infrastructure including one or more compute instances that replicate the changed data for the source entity in the target entity. To replicate data, the one or more compute instances may execute a mapping script that replicates the changed data from the source entity in the target entity by copying changed data from the source environment and writing it to a database in the target environment.

Replicating data across deployments in a routing constrained environment

The current document is directed to reverse federated identity-management systems and to reverse-federated-identity-management methods employed by the reverse federated identity-management systems. The currently disclosed reverse-federated-identity-management systems automatically provision local proxy identities in distributed computers systems from which distributed resource-distribution systems allocate resources on behalf of users and clients of the distributed resource-distribution systems. In addition, the currently disclosed reverse-federated-identity-management systems automatically record associations of local proxy identities with users and clients of the distributed resource-distribution systems so that the users can be subsequently identified to auditing and monitoring organizations should the need for detailed auditing and monitoring subsequently arise.

Reverse identity federation in distributed cloud systems

A method to configure a software solution may include receiving a first specification of a type of configuration data items and a second specification of system selected user attributes associated with the type of configuration data items, and receiving a configuration data item that is used to configure a first localized version of the software solution. The method may further include receiving a contributing user attribute specification that specifies a first user attribute and a second user attribute of the system selected user attributes, and generating a search tag assigned to the configuration data item. The method may further include receiving a search request to search the configuration data items, selecting, in response to the search request, the configuration data item based on the search tag, and configuring, in response to selecting the configuration data item, a second localized version of the software solution based on the configuration data item.

Matching adopting users and contributing users for decentralized software localization

A system includes (i) a configuration service executing on a computer processor and configured to select, based on a user attribute of a user, a configurable user interface, and select, based on the user attribute of the user, a configurable workflow, (ii) a contribution management system that generates a statistical measure of a plurality of users by tracking the plurality of users using the plurality of configurable user interfaces and the plurality of configurable workflows to perform a task according to a geographical region of the user, and verifies the configurable user interfaces and the configurable workflows based on the statistical measure, and (iii) a computer server configured to perform a task by at least receiving, via the configurable user interface, a user input, and executing, based on user input and according to the configurable workflow, multiple functional engines of the software solution.

A system to configure a software solution involves a system that includes (i) a configuration service executing on a computer processor and configured to select, based on a user attribute of a user, a configurable user interface from multiple configurable user interfaces of the software solution, and select, based on the user attribute of the user, a configurable workflow from multiple configurable workflows of the software solution, (ii) a computer server configured to perform a pre-determined task by at least receiving, via the configurable user interface, a user input, and executing, based on user input and according to the configurable workflow, multiple functional engines of the software solution, and (iii) a data repository configured to store the multiple configurable user interfaces and the multiple configurable workflows.

Various embodiments include apparatuses and related methods for determining the enthalpy of steam. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes: an extraction conduit fluidly connected with a steam turbine section, the extraction conduit for obtaining wet steam from the steam turbine section; a mixing chamber fluidly connected with the extraction conduit; an injector fluidly connected with the mixing chamber, the injector for providing dry steam to the mixing chamber for mixing with the wet steam from the steam turbine section to produce a sample mixture; and an enthalpy detection system fluidly connected with the mixing chamber, the enthalpy detection system configured to determine an enthalpy of the sample mixture.
